He doesn't consider a leader someone who balls on the field. He thinks the leaders are the good husbands and fathers. He looks at even some of the legends throwing rocks at their house and he says "you weren't a leader. How many times have you been divorced? How many kids do you have out of the home?"

That's the basic paraphrasing. He never talks football in the locker room.

Mike Brady would have been a tremendous leader of this team.

Emery: should we sign Jay to this contract, Mike?

Mike: Caveat emptor, Phil. Caveat emptor.

Just heard it at about the 20 minute mark on the podcast. Couldn't he have just said Brian Urlacher you are a pussy?

The pull ups, the football to the nose, don't play ball in the house, and Davy Jones were good episodes.

Scoop Brady, Braces, Hawaii, and Johnny Bravo are close seconds.

I heard a bit of his show. He was calling out former Bear legends that were criticizing the team (not by name).

He questioned how they could be leaders because some of those guys are divorced. It was pretty depressing to hear.

Then you have the crazy people in the crowd clapping like he just dropped a pearl of wisdom.

To be honest, he sounded like a politician hitting the points that he knew would only be answered by praise. I disagree with him in the fact that I would like leaders to discuss football related things with others. Marshall said that football will "fall into place" after people are trained to be better humans. Perhaps from his perspective, as one of the top 0.01% talented football players, things "fell into place" as he got his personal life in order, but I'm guessing if you talked to Peyton Manning's wide receivers, they learned more about football from him than how to treat their families with the rest of football just coming into place.
