He's had better games.

The sack and strip is on Cutler. He had time and was missing open receivers often.

I've heard regarding rookie offensive lineman that it takes a few games to get them on tape and then their tendencies start to show. Then the D-coordinator can design the game plan to exploit the weaknesses.

yeah that illegal hands to the face killed a burgeoning drive at a time when it turns out the bears really needed the points (cuz it was right b4 / during the 24-0 run) and well.... while cutler got sacked ~2-3 times, i'll grant the line that the fumble/TD sack came explicitly because jay was trying to force something downfield. forte had his big ~53yd run but once again didn't have an awe inspiring game, even tho the overall starts are like ~19/95 TD.... take away that daylight and it's pedestrian at best.

at least we got a chance to be prepared to see our defense be a turnstile for n'orleans next weekend. that's going to be hellish, so we'll have to hope that the packers handle business and then we're all square at 3-2 with the pack at 2-2, unless you wanna hope that the pack get buried and you don't fear a 4-1 detroit possibly taking off and imposing their will on the division race.

oh yeah....jake long.... still promising and if he's got a lot of room to improve in terms of developing a head for the game, i think it's getting safe to say that emery didn't blow the pick unless he ends up getting a season-ending/career-altering injury at some point in the next few weeks.

I agree that Long didn't have a very good game, but it was hardly a terrible one or anything. Suh is, indisputably, a great player. Long battled and got beat a few times. That's to be expected, especially in his 4th game. Suh's sack on Cutler was a sneaky play; he had pushed Long back a ways, and then suddenly dove at Cutler's feet, which obviously Long didn't know exactly where Cutler was. Overall, the line wasn't great today, but it wasn't near as bad as we've seen in recent years, and it wasn't the main problem with the offense. I really though that Cutler sucked many fat dicks today.

Long is good with me. The lions loss is on Cutler and sucky special teams play.

Cutler scored 32 points.

Defense gave up 33 points.

It's the defense's fault.

Cutler did well to spot at least 21 of those points of those 33 points.

That defensive line play was pretty frightening too.

It would be nice if Cutler had some more awareness, especially when it relates to being wrapped up in a sack.

I realize he's strong and athletic enough to escape sometimes, but other times, just go down

Yes, it was shaky, definitely agree. However, in the first half the Lions scored 24 points by amassing only 93 yards. They were gifted short fields due to TOs and poor ST play and won the game right there in the second quarter on only four drives that totaled those 93 yards. It's worth noting, perhaps, that in the second half the Lions only started one drive in advantageous territory and scored only three points.

I missed the game, so can't really comment. Caller on Doug and OB thought it was the diabeetus. Doug said he didn't want to say it, but he wondered the same thing. Doug said he has the diabeetus too.

A long time from now, more information will come out and we will be able to say why Cutler is the way he is.

Just browsing Pro-Football-Reference and Long is currently the highest rated pick of that entire draft.

Although, his value score is fairly low and that draft looks like it probably sucked.

Now imagine how good he is with a real coaching staff and Jay Cutler frowning on someone else's sideline.

La'Veon Bell & Dolphin's favorite Packer RB disagree.
