The baltimore guy was a name given to Accorsi by the ravens.

I thought Accorsi was supposed to come up with these guys on his own?

And is a team going to suggest letting go of a key employee?

This NFL comittee is suppossed to have compiled these names all year so when it gets to this point, the names are ready to go and they dont need to start asking.

Accorsi should be in Chicago today with the list and reviewing them wth Virginia.

There's no timeline for urgency, bigfan.

What a great opportunity to "weed out the garden" for NFL team's front offices.

Georgia was very proud that they can wait

Baltimore beat writers' description of the guy- "nice guy....good family man"

Pompei also said Accorsi has a "similar management mindset to the people in halas hall"

Sounds like the right consultant for the McDipshits!!!!

He's had success. We're crapping on a guy whose decisions led to 2 SB victories in the past decade before he's made 1 recommendation?

I trust Accorsi's decisions; he helped build the Giants' SB teams and the Browns of the 80s. What I don't trust is McCaskey and sweaty Teddy choosing the best candidate.

So Accorsi calls the ravens to suggest a name which he should not have to do in the 1st place because he should already be clued into who the right guys are.

Do you think the Ravens are going to suggest a guy who is vital to their success?

People's faith in this ownership is baffling

He was a little too high on Eli.

If he is worth anything, Accorsi has five names off the top of his head. Then he sits down with the Bears to figure out particular needs and amends that five. That phase should be completed in two weeks and really should be over. The next phase is to help these morons conduct a professional interview.

If you're going to raid the Ravens, you go give Eric DeCosta anything he fucking wants.

Search over. I'll email the Bears my invoice.

When you drop the addtional "Make no mistake"....is like the anti Bernstein of Maybes and Probables...you dont even keep your 1% of wiggle room

I'll bet the first question prospective GMs and coaches will be asked is whether they would keep Cutler...if they say no way, they are immediately crossed off the list.

Yeah but Eli has two Super Bowl rings, as much as he sucks. How many does Cutler have?

"Dan Bernstein's Dust Jacket Endorsements" would be a good Friday Fung.

"With a pervasive bleakness that saps the soul, Journey to the End of the Night is a book that could indelibly color the reader's outlook on life, though it's also possible that it would be too much and you might not feel like reading it."

"Rabbit, Run exemplifies how no one has ever captured the milieu of the white middle-class American male quite like John Updike -- with the possible exception, of course, of Philip Roth. Come to think of it, I'd probably put Roth over Updike. Mailer's in there too. It kinda depends on the day, really."

"According to the people I've talked to, and this is subject to change, every great-but-dysfunctional-family drama from The Magnificent Ambersons to Infinite Jest to The Royal Tenenbaums and Arrested Development has its inarguable antecedent in The Brothers Karamazov. This is what I'm being told by people who know."

shouldn't it concern them that respected executives that everyone wants consider Phillips continued employment a deal breaker to join the team

Say Phillips was no longer employed by the Bears, do you think his next job would be in the sports industry?

I'm sure he'll land softly into an executive director seat in an accounting firm or as an executive veep at one or the larger real estate shops. Stretch prognostication would be a private equity firm, but they'll keep him solely focused on capital raising side of the biz.
