I obviously dont know this, but I believe Trestman would have declined in that scenario. The word was that he wanted to be a head guy or else he was content to stay in the CFL.

Why then would he have interviewed for the OC position with the Raiders last week?

How is Lovies job search going? Apparently there aren't many NFL teams who are looking for a mediocre head coach who is a jagoff with the media & fans. Imagine that. Shocking. Big Sandy High School might be interested...

Lovie will coach in the NFL again. Soon. Probably next year. I could totally see him becoming the Lions head coach should they miss the playoffs again in 2013.
