Now I've been in a drunken haze for most of the last few games, but I was just recalling some of the things that worked well for the offense last year and comparing to what I've seen this year. One huge difference is that last year I remember a ton of short passes in the flat to McKie where he'd rumble 10 yards and then run over some poor DB fool before falling himself. I can't remember seeing plays like this at all this year and rarely if ever even see a fullback out there. Is there a reason for this? Am I just drinking too much?

You're right Hawkeye, you are drinking too much  . They did have that pass to McKee in the Eagles game where he was stopped at the one foot line because Berrian didn't want to get in the way of the defender.

Not to mention the screen just before halftime of the Viking game where he was hit so hard his moma's womb was hurting.

This isn't the mid 80's. Nobody uses the fullback any more then the Bears do. Get over it Hawkeye. There are no more Matt Suhey's in the NFL today.

The single back and 3 wides isn't just a 3rd down formation like it once was.

Lorenzo Neal on SD is as close at they come to a throwback player with the way he'll take your head off.
