This would have been a brutal stretch for any team.

The problem with this line of thinking is that it only gets better if they win. They've gotten a bit of a pass thus far (even in your post) due to the teams they've lost to. Losing to Oakland does not qualify as "better".

They will beat Oakland

One down.

They will also beat KC.

Two down.

They will also beat Detroit.

Sorry.

On a good note, while their draft pick might be lower, it does appear they made the correct call with the coaching.

Fox is still seemingly a bad game coach, but we'll see.

I think every coach in the league can be considered a bad game coach at times.

Obviously some are better or worse than others.

Fox is miles ahead of Trestman.

I have been impressed with what Fangio is getting out of the talent (or lack of) on D.

Trestman was horrible and Fox is obviously better, but it still concerns me that Fox basically repeated the most egregious coaching decision made by Trestman when he sent Gould out to kick that field goal two weeks ago.

The difference was Gould made it this time.

I meant more the assistants...except for special teams.

I'm kind of surprised Toub didn't pants the Bears this week.

They do seem to be a good bunch. If Fox retires in a couple years they could step in.

I originally went with a football hell prediction of 7-9. This is still very possible
- Beat Detroit at least once
- Beat Minnesota at home
- San Francisco is the worst team in the league
- Washington is possible
- Tampa Bay is possible

B & B say Gase will be someone else's head coach next season.

Fangio is in his late 50s. I don't think he'll ever be an NFL head coach.

Ok, the Bears are screwed then.

Yes. The team is definitely prepared to start the games though.

I find it funny this was the first sentence in your reply. A guy like Belichick will make some calls that don't work out, but he's never really a bad game day coach. Same with John Harbaugh and a few others. Fox has a well-earned reputation of being a terrible game day coach. As a Packer fan, Im glad he's the coach of the Bears. If they ever get good, he will be the one holding them back.

The Chicago Bears are reportedly beefing up their line ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Sources close to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times tell the reporter that Chicago has added NT Bruce Gaston from the Green Bay practice squad.

Its nice to see a team that appears organized and can get plays called in time without Jay getting all pissed off at the coaches. Bears might be the most improved team in the league from week 1 to now. I cant wait to see what this staff can do with a real NFL roster.

BEARSSS!!!
