what if.... they had done a documentary on the bears draft process leading up to selecting mitchell? just to be able to see all of the internal discussions that occurred that resulted in trading up to take the wrong QB.... i'd love to see the commentary on why mahomes or watson werent worth drafting... which one of mitchell's 12 college starts was the one that said this is the guy.... and the panic in the room as they give away picks to move up one spot.

There you go NFL, do two of these a year fo teams with high draft picks... then 2-3 years later release the more interesting one on HBO as a mini series in February... i want credit for the idea.

I don't blame teams for not drafting Mahomes. Is he the first guy to kick ass out of the Air Raid offense?

But not picking Watson has always been bizarre. Dude did everything you could want in college.

True.. but he had knee problems, I was hoping to draft Watson in second.

two knee surgeries and wasn't very good at protecting the ball

The knee worries were legit. I thought at the time his turnover issues were because he was taking the entire offense on his back and felt he had to occasionally throw something he knew was questionable.

The Bears have always had horrible luck drafting previously injured players with the hope they had put the injuries behind them.

I wanted the Bears to draft Watson. I saw him as another Wilson type qb and I think I was right. But I also thought that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky would succeed and am too stubborn to give up on him right now. I say FIX THE OFFENSIVE LINE and start from there. The Bears for decades now have not put an offensive line in place that is worth a shit and have pissed away the terrific defenses that they have had through those years. To me, that is unforgiveable.
