Seeing Carr rumors again this morning. A move for a young QB with starting experience likely means the end for Mitch in Chicago because they wouldn't commit dollars and draft capital to a guy they don't think is an upgrade at QB1. Whatever decision they make at QB will be franchise altering because if they get it wrong it likely means Pace or Nagy is gone and you can hit the franchise restart button yet again meaning another 3-5 years of suckage.

Can we afford Carr and a TE like Hooper?

If you don't trade for Carr he should be affordable. Trading for him is stupid.

You’re not getting Carr without a trade. He has some value, they aren’t gonna just cut him.

He's not worth $20M when every team knows that you don't want him. They have no leverage because they're about to sign another QB to start for them.

The scenario some writer laid out was :

Raiders sign Brady
Bears trade (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky for Carr

I'm in !

Mitch is the quarterback the Las Vegas Raiders deserve.

Is Carr a top 15 QB? If so he is a big upgrade, but doubt they would trade him for Mitch straight up, likely would take draft picks and Mitch or maybe Floyd. Highly doubt this comes off, more likely a vet, Mitch, and draft pick will make up next years QB room. Crazy how the rumors fly, but Bears have put themselves into a terrible position at QB.

Carr is just a guy. Is he better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky today? Yes. Is it by a significant margin? No. Is he worth $20M and a draft pick? No chance.

Colts, Chargers, Raiders, Titans...all AFC teams, 2 of em in Patrick Mahomes division.

49ers or Cowboys or Bucs and Brady has an easier path back to the Super Bowl.

Why go AFC and have to deal with Lamar, Mahomes, Derrick Henry and a motivated Belichik in the AFC playoffs.

Cowboys would make a lot of sense for Brady who needs a good offensive line and running game at this stage of his career, plus the division sucks so relatively easy route to playoffs and Jerry Jones is just goofy enough to make a move that crazy.

This is the only place for a star like Brady.

Still would be surprised if Brady leaves the Patriots, but really hopes he doesn't go to a team like the Raiders. If he's going to leave, go to a team that can win.

Mariota to the RAIDERS as backup/competition for Carr seems more likely.

If Brady went to Dallas, I would love to see to who and what kind of contract Prescott would sign elsewhere.

Tannehill is better than Brady, anybody who signs this washed up old man will regret it. Belechick doesn't want him.

Are you forgetting the 6 years in Miami version of Tannehill? You would take Tannehill without Derrick Henry over Tom Brady?

Grass is always greener with these average qb across the league

You knew it was going to be live or die with Mitch when he was drafted

The problem is that Mitch is almost flat line, but the Bears organization is treating it like he has a normal rhythm.

My opinion is this. The Bears blew it AFTER they drafted (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky when they didn't build an offensive team around him and his talents. Instead they stuck him with below average players on the line and in the backfield despite having a lot of money and draft picks for two seasons. This is on Pace all the way around. Truth is, we do not know shit about (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and his ability to be a good NFL quarterback. I got sick of watching the pieces of shit on the Oline get trounced and winding up getting run over on their way to (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. And running the ball? There were NO HOLES opened for our two backs to run through.

This was a BAD TEAM offensively last year. Houdini couldn't have gotten out of the mess that Mitch had in front of him last year.
