You could probably go to this once or twice per game. Anything more will put QBs in full body casts for the rest of the year. NFL defenses are too quick and collision effects are too destructive. Using lighter/smaller guys with receiver gloves on instead of layers of tape and bracing to somewhat protect the QBs will expose them in ways that are hard to justify.
