The problem is Nagy's offense is so dependent on a TE getting open, it's fucking killer the Bears are getting zero production there.

You would think the guy would have gotten into the weight room while he was hurt and gained muscle so that he could at least look like a great blocking tight end and have a future in the league. Instead he looks soft and not particularly good at any facet of the game.

They'll sign to corpse of Jimmy Graham.

Or at least clearing out the middle of the field for the crossing routes to come open for long completions.

One of the worst decisions ever made by the Bears was getting rid of Greg Olsen.

He told an interesting story that he was told by the Bears they had a trade in place with the Patriots for Olsen that was contingent on Gronk not being available to them in the draft.

If Olsen is good enough for the Patriots then maybe you should keep him.

I should have added that the Bears did keep him for one year and then trade him after that trade fell through.

They traded him because they listed to Mike Matz.

The Chicago Bears placed two players on their injured reserve list on Saturday, with defensive back Sherrick McManis and tight end Adam Shaheen now done for the season.

McManis, who plays a key role for the Bears on special teams, suffered a groin injury during the team’s win over the New York Giants in Week 12. He did not play against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, and will miss the team’s final four games of the regular season.

Shaheen has been dealing with leg injuries over the last month, and is now the second Bears tight end to be placed on injured reserve, joining Trey Burton in that group.

The Bears signed a pair of players to the active roster to replace Shaheen and McManis, with tight end Eric Saubert and offensive lineman Corey Levin added to the 53-man squad for Chicago

What an absolute fucking waste Shaheen was. He'll probably end up in the XFL in a couple years.

Yeah pretty pathetic that we could have Watson or Mahomes with Kittle.

Not just those guys;

JuJu Smith-Schuster
Alvin Kamara
Cooper Kupp
Kenny Golladay
Kareem Hunt
Aaron Jones
James Conner
Zane Gonzalez
Treyvon Hester

ALL were taken after Shaheen.

Can fix the position by cutting Shaheen and Burton, turn that 10 million in cap room into Austin Hooper or Hunter Henry and a veteran blocking TE.

Probably a better argument, as tons of teams did pass on Kittle(obviously dude is a top 15 draft pick if you redo the draft). Taking a player from Ashland in the 2nd round should be a firable offense on the spot.

Dolphins acquire TE Adam Shaheen — 2017 second-round pick — from Bears for a late-round pick, per source. Miami taking a flier on Shaheen, who has been a disappointment in Chicago. He'll likely compete with Durham Smythe and Michael Roberts for backup TE spot behind Mike Gesicki.

They got more than a can of soda for him too.
