The Packers tried this with McCarthy near the end and it failed miserably. The problem is that the quality of offensive coordinator you get is usually pretty poor on a team where it is already presumed that the HC will be calling all of the plays. Don’t be surprised when Nagy reclaims the role (like McCarthy did...and then got fired).

Nagy was arm twisted to give up play calling by Pace. Jim Miller on with ZZ wasn't too complimentary of Foles not taking charge of the offensive group to stem screw ups. Wrong guys on the field, out of position, calling a play by himself if it's late coming in.

Miller was a bad QB, He never acclomplished half what Foles has.

Nobody would look good with this line and Nagy.. Foles has shown to he is very capable with a good line. 27 TDs and 2 picks is a great season, that wasn't his SB year either.

He was ok for one season 7 years ago, and three games three years ago. The VAST majority of his career he's been an objectively bad QB. Anybody who follows the NFL knows the Bears were getting a shitty QB in Foles, not some magical savior.
