You're not gonna get what you gave up for him. He's 3 years older and not the guy he was.

But yeah, if you can dump his money for a 2nd round pick, I'd do it. Maybe a 2nd and a 5th. That's probably the best they can do. Gotta find somebody with the cap space. But the Bears have paid most of it with the signing bonus, so it's possible.

It was the right move for the Bears at the time. But he's wasted cuz we have no QB. And we won't have one next year.

Somebody would want him at his current deal.

I would think most GMs could do better than a second and a fifth for Mack. But of course, Ryan Pace isn't most GMs.

A second and a third seems reasonable. If somebody offered two seconds, I'd make the trade as quickly as possible.

The next GM should be on the phone with Jerry Jones as soon as Pace cleans out his office.

A second round pick and cap relief would allow the new GM to sign a couple impact free agents and stockpile draft capital. It makes sense, but the Bears have proven to be anything but smart when it comes to roster building.

Trading Mack would be Pace admitting defeat. He knows he probably won't be the GM for much longer, given the way things have gone, so he's going go down with the ship.

Pace would probably use those second round picks to trade up to draft another buster.
