He sounds like he has no idea what he is doing. He copied and pasted the KC offense as his own and has failed miserable. He is a fraud that is riding the coat tails of Andy Reid and Mahomes.

Is bad game planning and play calling a symptom of COVID?

well, if he's sick then he probably didn't have as much energy to put into game planning

Covid can be very tiring.

Everyone wanted Nagy to succeed as HC. But not everyone is made for it.

If you're supposed to be the offensive guru, how is it that you've regressed offensively from yr. one and had play-calling duties stripped from you?

He had a raw product in (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky but ample time to coach him up. If they would have given Mitch another year, I would have lived with it. But he and Pace went in the direction of Dalton and Fields. If that's your direction, you have to do better. But Nagy hasn't done better and the clock has been running the whole time with Bears fans' patience expiring. Injuries have plagued the Bears on offense, but schematically the Bears have been inept. To not have anything prepared against safety blitzes against the Bucs and not even have your QB recognize those blitzes to begin with shows how little Fields and the offense was prepared, that is coached by Nagy and co.

The Bears are losing their fanbase over Nagy because they're not fools. The McCaskey's have to recognize the ship is sinking. Moving to Arlington doesn't save them.

Just like with Trestman: you simply cannot be an "offensive guru" and end up with one of the worst offenses in the league year after year. A bad year for a coach heralded as an offensive genius should be league average, not going through multiple QBs that struggle to put up 200 yards in a game. You just suck at that point. Matthew Stafford was still able to throw for nearly 5K yards while going 4-12.

Nagy is a traveling monorail insurance salesman who conned a gullible and probably bad GM into thinking that he was way more responsible for the potency of the KC offense than he ever actually was, and that his "BE YOU" bullshit was an effective way to lead professional football players.

I guess he really did bond with the players

Bears offense finally scores <21 points next week with Nagy out.

Fields and other players seem like they'll be days away from getting Covid. A few referees too. Nagy was all in their face.

To put into perspective how awful this offense is: Fields had by MANY accounts a tremendous offensive day despite the loss.

But something called Cooper Rush has thrown for over 300 yards taking over for Dak Prescott on a team that has Ezekiel Elliott.

Yeah but traveling monorail insurance salesmen have to at least make a few sales to keep their jobs. I think a better job for Nagy would be Safe Space Co-ordinator, he could talk circles around everything and opening up the, "Be You Center", where no matter how spectacularly you fail it's OK because your, "being you", his approach is actually very close to Scientology where everyone else is unethical and you can do no wrong because you've paid the money to buy the secrets to Scientology.

Andy Reid sold the Bears a bill of goods with Nagy. I forgot the exact wording but didn't Reid say Nagy was the most prepared coach of any of the Chief head coaching candidates over the years.

someone said it here first...Reid wanted to demote or fire Nagy, so Reid went out and publicly stumped for the guy so someone else could take Nagy off his hands. The Bears were the dope

No excuse in todays NFL, NOT to score 21 points. Nagy is a fraud. You can hear it in his interviews and see it with his lack of game plan or half time adjustments.

Players like him because he is a players coach and every day is club dub at Halas Hall. Eventually the players will want to start winning and quit on him.
