IMO, one of the biggest surprises of this year. The OL has looked relatively good and you are right they have given him time to throw the ball.

I found it hilarious that Madden pointed out several times when Forte did his job in helping St. Clair out while St. Clair kept screwing up his assignments.

While I agree that Orton's been given more time than I thought he'd get this year...the problem is that he NEVER seems to get that extra second that's necessary in crucial situations. Maybe it's him not moving in the pocket and buying himself the time he needs but when the situation calls for a longer pass play I can't honestly blame Orton for holding it too long (not every time anyway) if the receiver isn't in position yet. Sometimes the line HAS TO hold up for more time and I don't think it's out of the ordinary to expect that out of the O-line. The line has exceeded my expectations but they have a long way to go.
That aside, I'd say the receivers are my main concern...they're awful. Can't get open, can't catch (when it's thrown to them) and now with Lloyd out and Hester hurt, improvement doesn't seem likely. Hey, remember that Des Clark guy? I like him, he can catch, throw to him more than once or twice a game.

I thought Orton would be dead by now.

Yep. I agree that the line is playing better than expected, but they are still below average. I will be thrilled to see Williams get in there after the bye week. He really could not do much worse than St. Clair.

He is already in pads and doing light practicing.

Orton's biggest problem is still his accuracy issues.

Granted, but I would much rather see him launch those floaters like he has been, where the WR's need to make a play.

Hell of a grab by Olsen.

Last we heard Williams was practicing, but they clearly said he wouldn't be back for awhile. Im thinking week 7-8 at earliest.

I'm really hoping they don't rush it.

Maybe hard to see from my vantage point at the game (or hard to remember after 10 beers), but didn't Clark drop a sure TD last week and didn't his failure to complete his route contribute to the endzone INT yesterday? I used to have Clark love too but as of late it has evaporated.
