He killed it at ASU. Not terribly fast but a big ass target. Drops the ball a bit.

Poles threw a 7th rounder at him because it gave him the first shot to sign him. No one else probably wanted to pick up that 1st round money and would have given him the minimum to get him in camp. The Bears have spare cash so it didn't matter. He was bad in NE at pretty much everything other than blocking. He might be good enough to crack the roster going up against guys like EQ. These kind of signings or trades almost always end with a camp injury, trip to IR and the injury settlement. I can't wait for the stories to start dropping from the Bears bloggers that have him contending with Velus for an All Pro spot.

Yet another nobody added to the team. Poles is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers

I don't have an issue with it. Taking a flyer on a recent 1st round pick that was lost on the depth chart is something that good GM's do. He could even be converted to a TE.

Yeah, he looks like a tight end.. 7th rounder is not a bad swap for a guy drafted so high.

Can see why they took a shot at him after watching a few YouTube vids, looks like he's an effective blocker, able to engage and turn much bigger defensive players, this will be key in the outside zone scheme, also a big body which should be able to get inside leverage and be a target for quick slants.

The kind of guy you take a chance on when you have next to nothing in your WR room.

He would be our best TE right now. Kmet hasn't made any progress. I was really hopeful after his first season.

Unfortunately, he may be partnering with Favre Fan at a local checkers tournament.

Nah, there's absolutely nothing wrong with this move. The only problem is that the Pats have drafted like crap in the first round for most of the past decade. It's unlikely this guy will do anything with the Bears, but there's no risk either.

What?

Do you realize how insane you sound?

A 2024 7th round pick is the equivalent of giving up the gum on the bottom of your shoe for this guy.

I believe the Bears clown car of GM's have drafted better than Belichick over the past 10+ years.

At long last, the #Patriots trade former first-rounder N'Keal Harry and it’s the #Bears as his landing spot for a 2024 7th rounder, per me and
@MikeGarafolo
. A solid upside move for Chicago, while New England moves on with a strong group itself.

Would you trade Roquan for Metcalf? That's a question that Hoge and Jahns asked. Both said no. I would make that trade in a heartbeat.
