I think there is a ceiling of excitement you have to put on a player, that can only play right tackle (one of the easiest positions to fill in football).

Unless you are telling me he can slight over and hold down the fort at left tackle should Braxton Jones shit the bit his sophomore year.

All of these guys are monsters in comparison to most of us. I think he prefers guys who are nasty.

I believe he started more games at LT than RT at Tennessee.

Of course, his best work is at RT and he was considered a middling prospect until he moved there this year.

Skoronski had to be purely on body. Poles is overly fettered to combine measureables.

Since this is the draft post mortem, in looking at other teams day 3, I'm not sure Cleveland didn't get more better on the line with Dawand Jones at OT and Wypler at C on Day 3 than Poles did with Wright on Day 1. I know, "scheme fit" with Jones...and he's something like the third heaviest OL drafted over the past 20 years...and refused to be weighed at any time post combine.

Wasn’t Jones the guy telling prospective employers he wasn’t that into football and would’ve rather played basketball? At like 375lbs?

They really should see if he can get 15 pounds lighter and be a good left tackle, if they want value of that pick

I think Poles believes that Kramer is at least as good as Wypler. Kramer was apparently pretty impressive in camp last year prior to his injury. He's ready to go now and will be participating in this weekend's rookie camp.

Yeah. He said that wasn't true. I didn't think Wright was significantly better than him. He's an athlete and nasty too.

Hopefully, he's right. Chris Morgan may not be here after this year. Everyone speaks highly of him.

There seemed to be a consensus amongst the "draft experts" that the center class this year was not that good, and obviously, Poles agreed.

Seems they will take a let Whitehair, Kramer, and Patrick compete for the job, but none of them fit the lengthy athletic prototype that Poles likes.

Would be tempted to take a look at Leatherwood at guard, Verbel supposedly lost faith in Davis because he was hurt all the time, you will need depth at that position.

Still think they will bring in a few cap casualty vets, likely on both lines.

I'm surprised Leatherwood is still part of the roster.

Not much love for Fields and the Bears offense from the prognosticators.

Nor should there be. Fields has proven to be a very gifted athlete with play-making abilities, but has yet to show any kind of competence as an NFL Passing QB. The offensive line was below average and has some new YOUNG pieces that are also unproven. Until the Bears demonstrate something that resembles a productive offense, they should be rated as such. I think they'll be better, but I want to actually SEE Fields throw the ball with accuracy behind adequate protection.

Seems more and more likely Poles made the right choice passing.

I think he made the right choice, but I didn't see anything in that clip about the bloods. Unless wearing red is only for the bloods.

That's pretty dumb. Everyone knows the Crips are the exclusive gang sponsor of the NFL.
