You're a Fields guy tho, who you crapping. You said since Fields dominated big ten competition there's no reason why he can't dominate the NFL.

Never said that bro. Troll harder.

viewtopic.php?f=72&t=131227&hilit=Fields&start=300#p3996939

No troll. You're clearly implying that here. Because Fields was good in college that success must translate to the pros. Because it's not the failure is on coaching and not on Fields. Hence, per your argument, fields is inherently destined for greatness and it's only coaching holding him back.

You must be a lawyer. I am implying that Fields could throw to open receivers in college and he should be able to throw to open receivers in the NFL. How that translates into "Fields is inherently destined for greatness" is beyond me.

It is really a very small world in which we live. My twin grandkids up in the Seattle area go to the same Catholic school that Shane Waldron's kids go to. My scouting report on the guy is that he is a nice guy who I guess will be looking for a new school for his kids in the Chicago area pretty soon 8) 8) .

Mc claskeys love their catholic hires. They'll be going to Loyola before you know it. I wish the Mcclaskeys encouraged them to go to ND HS

I think you mean Loyola Maryland after Waldron is fired in 24 months and he moves on to the commanders. :D

Didn't a couple of the McCaskeys attend NDHS?

I believe they have made significant donations to the school, though perhaps anonymously.

Is this guy actually hired yet or will it be another Dave McGinnis debacle? Would be hilarious if they told him after the fact he had to keep Fields and he changed his mind.

Yes. I think they are quiet about their work. I've never seen them attend anything, which is strange.

This dude is trying to get his old Seattle staff jobs in Chicago. It's not like Seattle is the capital of football innovation...what the hell are we doing?

The Bears seem to value continuity over success. Since all these guys "collaborated" with one another in Seattle, we've got to have them!

This dude is gonna hire his mom as pass game coordinator and the team isn't gonna do anything about it. Wanny would like it since it's in line with his open minded hiring principle: hire people you only know personally, which is the optimal way to inject new ideas into your building. This city blows .

When you watch Seattle stuff from last season a few things stand out.

First off, Waldron ran a similar scheme, most notably outside zone run game and Poles seems to favor that approach, so it makes sense he hired Waldron.

The problem is that Seattle had DK Metcalf to dictate coverage, and as the deep shot guy on play action, the Bears do not have a big WR on the roster that can fill that role.

Seattle also had better talent at QB, C, G, TE, RB, and WR, your QB has to be able to hit the check downs and take the deep shots on play action that the offense affords, the Seattle QB's made throws that Fields would not even attempt. Seattle had much better players at C, G, and a perfect one cut RB with breakaway speed in Kenneth Walker III, they were better built to run the offense than the Bears are currently, and it will take a great deal of FA paper and draft capital to upgrade several key positions, most notable QB and WR.

Virginia personally prefers the school a block north of, and just west of NDHS.

Seattle's prized rookie receiver can't seem to contain his excitement about Waldron:

You can tell he's really gonna miss Waldron.

He didn't play a lot because they needed an extra TE for protection. When he did, he wasn't am effective 3rd option.

I know I just think it's hilarious. And the fact that they're on the scene as bounty spokespersons out of all things which explains all the bounty products and attire just adds an extra layer of hilarity to me.

have to ask the stat nerds, but i'm pretty sure his ADoT was 1 or 2 yards for the first half of the year. all they would do is throw short to him.
