   Why not just bet who has the better numbers next year. Justin Fields or Caleb Williams.

Seems simple enough. Metrics would be Games Started, TD, - INT's, - Lost Fumbles, Rushing Yards, Wins, Total Yards.

I thought yall were tired of talking about Justin Fields? Just Asking A Question

And keep in mind that he much like Brick, also believed that Caleb played "very well" this season.

You seem to want to bet metrics above the mean. Caleb is terrible, isn't he?

He knows Caleb will out play Fields next year. It won't even be close. I don't blame him from deflecting a straight up Caleb vs Fields bet.

I'll take that action as long as we factor in things like Attempts and QBR. Unlike dopes like you I've watched sports enough in my day know and understand when someone's stats are being "stuffed" and inflated.

Because you have said MANY times that wins matter more than "garbage time" stats I've offered twice to wager on the big Justin vs Caleb Steelers/Bears tilt. Gotten nothing but obfuscation in response.

It will happen after the draft and free agency is over. That makes more sense than doing it now.

Why would that matter?

If one guy thinks he sucks and the other doesn’t, who cares who else is starting? Performance is relative.

LTG says one thing but LTG's money says something different. LTG's money is on the record that Caleb will be above average.

It takes away many of the built-in excuses by either side and Dr. Style is openly planning on making a ton of excuses next year.

I'm Calling You Out Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy Style. If JFIELDS is the starting QB for the Steelers when they play the Bears I'm taking Pittsburgh to win the game. As we in the old country like to say, "you've got action"

Nah I was just providing a benchmark. Brick was on record as saying Goff sucks so I just simply provided stats from Goff's year 2.

The problem for Brick McCarver is that he still wants to yell about Caleb "playing very well" and make it about stats until the stats demonstrate that he is among the league worst in about 90-95% of the categories.

Notice how the yardage stat got completely dismissed the second that it was shown to be inflated by his having passed the 7th most times in the league? He should easily have attained more than 4,000 yards given the amount of passes that he threw last season. And definitely passed for more TDs as well. He didn't even know how to evaluate the stats even as he continued to cite stats as the basis for every argument.

I'm conceding the stat game somewhat to McCarver because I know that Caleb is the "Garbage Time King". Thus a great deal of his stats occur after the games are actually games.

The problem for you is reading comprehension and a secondary problem of recollection.

His overall stats should have been better last year. I've never said otherwise.

You actually have said "otherwise". Quite a few times during the season.

Thing is... i don't know what the Bears are. We have no idea what we will see. I'm not making any predictions until I see the draft, FA signings and how this dude BJ handles camp and preseason. You guys can blue sky all day but nothing matters until we see if this guy is actually a coach or just another loser Bear HC. Some real coaching, not this Mr. Cheezle bullshit we've had lately, might make the difference.
There's certainly talent on this team. There's a bunch of turds. Let's see where we are when Poles flushes and gets this years team together.

As this season has shown with "Generational Caleb" you don't necessarily have to be good, you just have to be better. And Justin was this season and he will be going forward. It says a lot that a playoff team is quite comfortable to making them their starting QB next season
And here is the other part. If Caleb is "that dude" as a QB and BJ is that dude as a coach, then why shouldn't the Bears be much better record wise next season?

It's clear what the problem happens to be. Quite clear. They have a tough schedule next season but there is no reason that they shouldn't be a double digit win team next season if Caleb is the goods as player (As i have been told repeatedly) and Ben is the goods as a coach (as I've also been told repeatedly)

For the record, I have never referred to Caleb as a generational talent. His first season was disappointing...he was not very good. He gets 2 more seasons before I call him a bust. I gave Justin Fields the same courtesy.

The Bears will not be winning double digits next season.

I'll wait to pass judgment on Johnson, but I regret that he doesn't already have head coaching experience.

My initial impression is that he's not a players' coach. He's no Mike Tomlin. If Johnson tries to come off as too much of a hard ass where his demands for the players are too much, then the players won't have it and they'll reject him. You need a winning vision but you also need to be mindful of not trying to over-execute or of doing too much at once.

I do like the Antwaan Randle El hire with him being former great Indiana player. I saw him play when I was at IU.
