Be a no-brainer to move up and take Will Campbell there. But no, now they are so fucked they have to just pray they nail these second rounders even though Ryan Poles fucking blows at finding talent in the draft.

Can you tell us this before the draft next time?

Again, can you imagine the bitching by USA if Poles drafted Dejean and his zero regular season interceptions?

There is no doubt. He is one of those guys that no matter what the Bears do he is going to find reasons to bitch about it and find guys after the fact that we should have taken.

Pretty sure the USA account is just a gimmick account run by a fan of another team. That’s why I don’t bother with too many interactions with it, seems kinda pointless.

Will be an interesting call at #10, they would love to have Will Campbell there, and there is a gaping hole at LT, but he is likely gone, do you go with Banks or Simmons, trade back, or just take best d lineman available?

Does seem they will draft a back in the 2nd or 3rd round, doubt Omarion Hampton will still be there, so you are looking at Henderson, Judkins, or Johnson as possibilities. Jurko brought up the big kid from Texas (Alfred Collins) as a possibility in the second round, that would fit the type of big physical lineman they want, thought it was an interesting name.

I’d still like to see best D-linemen/Edge available.

I actually don’t think Jeanty will get to 10 (Raiders might take him). My dark horse pick for the Bears is Will Johnson (CB out of Michigan) if he’s there.

As for O-linemen I think Donovan Jackson from OSU might be the best overall in this class. There are issues with Campbell/Simmons/Banks none of them even project to the position they played in college at the next level.

Not sure if Braxton Jones will be ready to go at the beginning of the season and he is just a guy at LT, so if you think you can upgrade that spot and lock it down for the next 3-5 years you have to take a shot, especially if you think you have a franchise QB.

One of the biggest problems with the Bears is that they tend to way overvalue players, Tevin Jenkins is still dangling despite supposedly being the Bears best offensive lineman for the past two years, many overvalue Jones in the same way.

The most encouraging thing is that Ben Johnson looks to be one thousand percent more locked in than Eberflus and knows exactly what he wants, big and nasty offensive lineman, no more finesse guys like Braxton Jones and Amegadjie, or Shelton.

It was difficult to run anything last season, you would see Shelton shoved back into the QB's lap, and your guards either getting beat or getting manhandled, your LT getting shoved backwards, your TE missing his block, and your RT getting beat with outside speed. You have markedly improved your interior and now you need to solidify your LT spot.

The Bears overvalue Jenkins and Jones because the Bears actually drafted them. By how much is up for debate, but they have already upgraded 3 out of 5 lineman in one off-season. I'd love to see both Jenkins and Jones upgraded, but we'd be lucky if they upgraded ONE of them.

When Jenkins is healthy he is a badass. But he's never healthy. So he's never a badass.

Maybe I never noticed it before but the Afternoon Show has lots of bad habits. Stop calling what grown men say “delicious” and please stop calling folks like Jared Payton and Alex Brown JP and AB. You’re fucking radio nerds and acting like you can get familiar with the cool kids is pathetic.

Point. Set. Match.

Agree 100%.
I'd go ahead and say keep Braxton and somehow acquire one more improvement for T and let Jenkins go to another team. At which point, he'd likely show up 17 games and a a bad-ass for a team other than the Bears.

As part of his trade to the #Bears, G Jonah Jackson received a one-year contract extension through 2027 and added guarantees in ’26 ($7 million fully gtd, $5.25m more for injury).

He’ll get all $17.5 million he was slated to earn this season in the deal he signed with the #Rams.

great special teams and great blocker as a WR. He'll get playing time. He might not see many passes
