The game hasn't started and already they've broken out the "look how many QBs the Bears have had since Brett Favre's first start with the Packers!"

So, I take it that is a sign that we will be subjected to this tired comparison forever and ever, since, you know, Favre isn't even their QB anymore up there in Green Bay.

How about this tantalizing factoid: How many Packers QBs have there been since the Bears have been starting Orton? That would be two, and counting.

Meatballs.

I was thinking the same thing. Apparently that stat is immortal regardless of whether Brett Favre is even involved in this game.

The Bears have had only two QBs since Farve left. How many QBs have the Jets had since the Farve era began? Is this the lamest stat ever? Whoever the Peckers played, the announcers would always say, "You know, the Bucs have had X QBs since Farve started his glorious streak!"
Just bad announcing. But that is what we expect from Monday/Sunday/Thursday night football.

I am old enough to remember Alex Karras, Don Meredith and OJ Simpson. You haven't lived till you heard OJ tried to squeeze a subject, verb, direct object and adjective out of his mouth. He had trouble saying "who 'dat" during a Saints game.
I also believe Namath polluted the booth for a while, but I can't say for sure because we probably were drinking the same amount back then.

They need to let it go concerning Brett Favre! At the end of the "TOYOTA Halftime Show", Chris Berman showed an "ESPN.com SportsNation" poll asking if the Packers would still be a playoff team if #4 was still there instead of the New York Jets. To no one's surprise, 55% said yes. Let it go!!! Also, Moe (Mike Tirico), Larry (Ron Jaworski) & Tony Kornheiser showed the never-ending graphic of different Bears' quarterbacks, plus kept showing the temperature & wind chill on the bottom of the screen coming out of commercial...DUH! :x This was the last "MNF" game of the season, and here's hoping ESPN keeps Tirico & "Jaws", but sends the very boring Kornheiser back to Washington to bicker with Mike Wilbon on "PTI". The way ESPN treated the Bears looked like they hadn't seen them play before!

It's just a 17-year goldendomer invasion. Weather the storm and try to fry a couple.
