Devin Hester is currently 20th in the NFL in reception yards (16th among WRs) and 20th in receptions (12th among WRs). And that's without the benefit of an offensive line that can block for long enough to allow him to run deep routes. Football outsiders has him as the 15th best WR in the league as of last week by their metrics.

At what point do people start to give up the assumption that Devin Hester cannot play wide receiver? And also, at what point do either management or the coaching staff get credit for turning someone who played defense in college into one of the better WRs in the NFL?

Maybe when they start throwing to him a lot more than they have the last few games. He is one of the lone bright spots on that offense, and should be getting thrown to at least 12-15 times per game.

NFL teams don't have "definitely throw the ball to Player X" plays unless they are bubble screens. That's just not how offenses work. It's up to the QB to make the reads.

But he's caught 38 passes. How many more targets do you want?
