5 out of 7 games have been statement games. This has never been seen in NFL history. Let's get the starters out of the game.

Why is Jones in the game. This is the perfect chance to pound Benson. No excuse Lovie.

According to Summerall, Love thinks that Jones is the best stripper he's ever seen

I was pretty accurate

Indeed. Good call. How about P-nut? Had a ball-punch early, that nearly jarred the ball loose, and a slap that did later. Nice.

Man!!! We really missed Mike Brown today. I wonder what we would have done if he played? LOL.

I dont think I've evr seen a defense over pursue like that, Bears should have had several big runs like that Jones TD run, just call a dive, the whole defense would try and stuff the middle and they could have bounced outside for several big ones. I wish Benson would get more carries and be kept in for consecutive drives. I really wish Singletary the Bears would have hired Singletary a few years ago, that defense is really solid.

i agree. while benson show more speed he hasn't done much with the carries he's had so far. he seems to go down easy.

Everyone says (or Benson fans say) that if you give him 20+ carries, you're see the reason the Bears drafted him, he'll tire out teams because of his running style, etc.

I say, he's a backup at this point and when he goes in the game whether it be 4 carries or whatever - he's got to produce in the limited amount of carries that he does get in order to be in line for more carries, at least for this season with Thomas Jones still on the team. Now, next season, if Thomas Jones contract situation becomes an issue, the door will probably re-open for Benson again.

Jones played well yesterday but that was only the 2nd good game he had this year, he is a better player and should start, but I think Benson needs to be in on multiple drives in a row. Jones has one first down carry in his last 13 attempts on 3rd and short, that when Benson should come in. He was the 4th pick last year and is making alot of money, I doubt both guys will be back next year, and befor we give up on the guy, I wanna see if he's a bust, and if he's our back of the future, I wanna see him get some carries and prove it. I like the idea of them both getting carries and rushing for 130+ every week.

Lovie had no business leaving the defensive starters (or Grossman and Jones for that matter) in the lineup after halftime. The defensive starters were in there for one reason...to get the shutout.

I suspect that had Lovie been more respectful toward his opponent in a 41-0 game and substituted like he should have and removed Urlacher, Grossman, Jones et al from the field for the entire second half, Nolan would have reciprocated that respect and not kicked it. But when Lovie showed he was trying to rub it in with a shutout, Nolan likely said FU and kicked it out of spite. Lovie clearly leaves his players in way too long to rub it in to his opponents. He is certainly building up quite a karma deficit. I suspect most coaches who are on the wrong end of his attempts to embarrass them will have long memories.

The goal of a game is to win. Once the winner is decided, then coaches ought to remove their best players from the game to keep them from getting injured. The winner of yesterday's game was decided at halftime. What purpose is served by leaving star players in a game once victory is assured? If reserves score more points by playing hard, fine. But to leave starters in solely to embarrass the other team is a risk I don't understand taking. How would you feel today had Urlacher or Grossman been injured when the score was 41-0? As I said...both teams knew the game was decided, so when Lovie was so arrogant as to go for the shutout, the sole purpose of the field goal was likely to say "FU Lovie".
