I think people evaluate Rex incorrectly when they call him a statue. Bernsie always says this. He certainly isn't fast but I think he moves his feet well. He slide steps well and he buys time by rolling out better then most people give him credit for. He certainly isn't the statue that Bledsoe is or Marino was. Plus Nas, lets face it, the line has protected so well he hasn't had to move to much anyway. If you don't have to then there is no need to just show that you can.

I would not doubt at all that he has lost some speed as a result of the injury, but really, the Bears are a Pocket Protect O line. Why run around and lose accuracy with the arm when you can stand there all gol durn day and just wait for your receivers to get open.

I don't think he was even hurried during the SF game.

What are you looking for out of Rex? I'd like to see some bootleg action. But with the protection he's got, why bother?
