Couldn't agree more, Bumpkin. After reading his comments in the Trib this morning, Harris clearly is clueless about leadership. But Lovie better not be. I guess Grossman wasn’t the only one talking about the Giants and dissing the Fins last week. (Quotations below from today's Miami Herald and South Florida Sun Sentinel)

Seems like maybe the Bears players need to learn a little media discipline about what they say about their upcoming opponents. They could take a lesson from Giants coach Tom Coughlin. Here is how Coughlin responded to questions about the Bears last week prior to their Houston game. (From last Thursday's Trib)

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Mentioning the Bears to New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin wasn't the right thing to do Wednesday, not with the Houston Texans coming to town this weekend.

As soon as Coughlin heard the word "Bears," his tone changed and his voice conveyed anger.

"We don't think about that at all," a testy Coughlin said. "This next game is the most important game of our schedule, OK? I don't even want to entertain questions about that. The next game is the most important game that we'll play, and that's against Houston."

OB said this morning on Pappy's funhouse that the Bears are the only team in the NFL that does NOT run the shotgun.

If Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Matt freakin' Leinart can run it, so can the Bears. They need to adapt to changing game plans and make the needed changes to win games.

Where the FUCK were the screen passes, the hitch routes, draws, throwing to a WR at the line, slant patterns, basic fucking things you do to stop the blitz, they blitzed every fucking play. Are the coaches so stubburn that they refuse to make adjustments, did they learn from the Panther game?

If this is true, Larry should be fired. The shotgun is obviously one of the best ways to beat the blitz.

First off, I watch a hell of a lot of football.
Second, just because I'm not "All or nothing" (like that means anything) does not mean my opinion or observations don't count.

I, like most rational people, am OBJECTIVE about my sports teams. I am not convinced the Bears can beat teams like the Pats because of the pedigree of players like Tom Brady and coaches like Bill Belichek.

Just because you look at things as black and white doesn't mean your opinions are right or wrong.

Just because one team is perceived to be "better" than another, does not mean they should never lose to them. The best teams do not always win, nor should they. It is an unrealistic expectation to believe the better team should always win. There are many reasons, but one I believe many people ignore is that a chart of human performance over time in any endeavor is not a straight line. There are deviations from the mean. Every person, and every team, has aberrations in their performance. This is normal. It should not be viewed as abnormal or even unusual.

Agreed. I came here last week looking for an outlet; I wanted to pound the Bears for their shitty performance. But Nas put it in perspective, and it made me step back and realize that any team can lay an egg. A lot of people wanted to battle Nas for sticking with the Bears, but with the NFL you never know. You have to keep an even keel. I, for one, salute Nas for sticking to his guns, even after a game that made it very difficult to do so.
