I don't see a single team on the Bear schedule that scares me. Really. You can make a case for St. Louis or possibly New England, but I look at it like this: If that overachieving Dick Jauron team from 2001 was able to go 13-3, how could this team finish any worse than that?

I'll refill my Kool-Aid cup [takes another sip] and say that the Bear will finish 14-2, losing to New England and dropping a very close game to Minnesota. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Minnesota is a very different team on the road than they are in the Metrodome. There's no way the Bears will lose to them at home.

....if they keep playing like this, the only game that is a real concern is the Pats game.

Absolutely not. That is why I like to play the dome teams away early in the season. The Lions will be dead by the time the Bears play them away, Minny at home in the cold should be easy and the pack on New Year's Eve at home...6-0 baby.

By the way, what is the over under on drunks dressed as baby new year at the bear-packer game?

I think the Pat's and one of the NY teams will get them.

The Bears and Monday Night Football do not mix very well.

I wonder why that is? It's so difficult to try to trend anything given the turnover, balanced schedules, etc. For example. look at the Raiders over the last 5-7 years vs. their MNF record previously.

Man, I started my column to poke fun at the Bears, but now, you guys are taking the slight and working against me.

As I told the Best Man in my wedding - You should have the Bears win the Super Bowl. It's a great feeling.
