I was just a kid when he was drafted but i remember his neck being so thick that he couldn't button the top button on his shirt.

I think he was the best LB in that great LB group.

Def the best LB, I think you could make a case for him being the best player on the entire team

You could try to make the case but that group was lead by two HOF DL, another that really should be and Fridge.

No doubt there was a team full of studs. But Wilbur was right there with them.

For his career Payton was clearly the best player from that team. But just speaking of the Superbowl year IMO Hampton, Wilbur and Covert were the top 3 guys on that team.

Unnaturally huge biceps. Bears wouldn't give him guaranteed money.

Was Marshall the one who slapped Eric Hipple?

He's the one who almost killed Joe Ferguson in the Silverdome.

Also, his sack, strip, recovery, and TD on one play was amazing.

He was great, a dominating player.

He would have had a huge year in 87 if it wasn't for the strike. He was just killing everyone before that strike happened.

Should have never left him leave for DC. But good for him, he got another ring out of it.
