Defensive line needs to step up here. Packers have no running game right now and their oline is bad. As crappy as the Bears played in the first game last year they didn't lose by much. The addition of Pepper and Urlacher should put them over the top.

I'm hoping GB blitzes and Martz can work something out like last week.

This game is winnable and a lot of people think it's gonna be close. I still think the Bears are gonna get blown out but I'm excited to watch. They've got a chance.

I think its close, with the Bears ahead most of the game. I think there are a couple of big plays/turnovers late that makes the score look like a blowout even though it was a pretty close game.

They should have the same essential game plan on both sides of the ball as they did with Dallas.

Defensively, start with shutting down the run and make this a passing game. Now the Packers might be perfectly happy with that, but it did not work well for Dallas, who may be even more talented than GB in passing. The Pack has always killed the Bears with the screen and slant. I don't think the screens will work as well with Jackson. I fear those slant patterns. 8 yards a pop and then a deep ball for a TD.

Offensively, the Packers have not been all that great against the run this year. I would like to see them spend some time in the first two series trying to get that going. It should slow down the pass rush a little. I also think the Pack is suseptible deep with a rookie at FS and a less tested CB opposite Woodson.

This is going to be a game with a lot of passes. I expect to see over 80 passes total this game. Neither team will run well, which should mean that neither team will put the other away. Take you No Doze, because this will be a 4 hour gamewhich with an ultimately unsatisfying result.

Pack 38 Bears 24

I think the Bears secondary gets more exposed in this matchup

i think it all depends on how the bears o-line and cutler deal with the packers defense. i have faith in their defense atleast slowing the packers passing game

this is based on no empirical thought whatsoever as i'm contemplating on whether to try and sleep for ~4 hours or just say fuck it and energy drink it up before i head down to the mothership.

between you and me: i'm scurred. at the risk of jinx, the bears D hasn't been exposed for those 3rd and 18 conversions over the middle of the field yet... urlacher factor? hmmm. at least homo and the 'boys looked much better yesterday from what little i saw (not ruling out a texans suckfest either)

Robbie Gould kicks the game winner with time expiring.

Packers secondary is young too and can be exposed just as well as the Bears can.

Cutler/Martz need to pull some more magic from the trickbag.

If this happens, Bear: 27 - 24. The meatball in me doesn't wanna jinx the beloved, so I wanted to stop short of a real score prediction. I feel alot better about the matchup, though, with the loss of Ryan Grant. All in all, I'm just hoping and praying that the Bears' offensive line keeps Clay Mathews from separating Cutler's head from his body at some point...

I think it's going to be a shootout on the Lakefront and I give Green Bay the slightest of edges on the road. I think Mason Crosby boots a game-winning 28 yard FG to win it for the Packers, 31-28.

31-30 Bear

I'm smelling a 3 sack performance from Peppers, and a big 3rd down performance from Chester and Forte. Aromashidu resurfaces. Cutler and Rodgers both go for near 400.

Yeah just heard this on NFL network, I'm more disappointed about Aromashodu than Harris.

The Packers are without starting OLB Brad Jones. Making his first career NFL start is the undrafted rookie out of Central Michigan.....Frank Zombo.

I agree. Maybe Tommie can get a fire lit under him, and Toeaina has looked pretty good when he's been in there.

The DA thing is troubling, Martz kinda bad-mouthed him by saying he can't play the slot. The guy has shown ability to make plays, I don't see the harm in putting him outside. Let Bennett and Hester play the slot

Guess he still needs to work on those stone hands.
