I read that Owens is having his big workout this afternoon out in CA. Has anyone read or
heard whether the Bears will have any representation out there to watch? I read that the
Patriots are one of many teams there. I believe there was a thread on this a few weeks ago
but couldn't find it. If he is physically fit I don't see a ton of downside to trying to sign him
and bring him to Chicago although I don't see the Bears trying it.

The Bears already have a washed up Roy Williams-type player on the team and his name is Roy Williams.

No need for a second.

I'll have to see how many sit-ups he can do on his lawn before I render an opinion on his possible effectiveness.

I am not in favor of the Bears signing him. But with that said putting Terrell Owens and Roy Williams in the same sentence is completely absurd! Owens is one of the greatest of all time. Williams is a nobody.

If Owens isn't finished then he is damn well close to being finished. Everyone will beat the drums, say he will be great, he will get on the team, ZZ will suck his schlong, tell us how grateful he is and how mature he has become, Owens will talk about just wanting to win and play well, he will then act like a jag, not do much and then everyone will get all pissy about another worthless signing and why the Bears can't get any good WR's and this and that.

Search your heart, you know it to be true.

I understand he wouldn't be a popular signing but was just curious if anyone knew if we had any
scouts or anything there watching him. I see more downside than up but looking at our roster
of WR's I just find him an intriguing option for maybe 15 - 20 snaps a game.

I haven't heard anything on the radio or ESPN or anything and I doubt the Bears would even have a look....it just ain't their style.

I can't believe that I'm actually going to admit this...but I almost felt a little bit sorry for him today. :(

But then I got over it! 8)

I was surprised no one showed up, he looked to be in shape but that doesn't mean much.
Someone will take a flyer on him I am betting. I'd rather have him than Moss.

I would take a flyer of TO and Moss. TO is better than most WR's in the NFL and Moss with still a top 10 to 15 WR.

I highly doubt that. Someone like Greg Jennings is right around the 10 spot if you were ranking wide receivers and he is much, much better than Moss the last time we saw him.

TO had a solid season last year with 9 TD's. If he hadn't torn his ACL, he would be on a roster because he was obviously still effective. However, no one knows how effective he can be after that injury.

He would probably help out a team like the Seahawks, Cardinals, or even the 49ers. The Bears seem to be so fragile mentally that TO would just cause a complete meltdown if he were to be signed.

I heard Andrew "McLovin" Perloff on "The Dan Patrick Show" this morning suggest the Bears as a team that should sign Terrell Owens, despite all the baggage. You've got to be bleepin' me!

Jerry Rice said his legs looked weak.

This coming from a man who looked bad the last 3 or 4 years he was hanging on to the bottom of some very bad NFL rosters.

Either do it properly or else stop wasting everyone's time with your fake ass look at me cries for help dude.

Just a few days after no NFL scouts showed up at his workout, now comes word that Terrell Owens attempted suicide earlier this month, according to a TMZ report.

The 37-year-old wide receiver was rushed to an L.A. hospital after reportedly overdosing on pills on Oct. 6. TMZ obtained the tape of the 911 call, during which Owens’ assistant says she believes it was a suicide attempt.

When he was a member of the Dallas Cowboys in 2006, Owens was hospitalized under similar circumstances. Owens quickly refuted the “suicide” rumors then, saying: “It was just an allergic reaction. It’s very unfortunate for the reports to go from an allergic reaction to a definite suicide attempt.”

Owens, who has yet to catch on with an NFL team this season, played for the Cincinnati Bengals last season, making 72 catches for 983 yards and nine touchdowns.

Who the hell has an allergic reaction to prescription pills? The Woman who called 911 told them it was a suicide attempt.
