He played with a lot of guts and he actually had long offensive drives.

If only they could then play Washington or Jacksonville every week, i'd agree.

He knew his limitations and didnt try too much out of his comfort zone. Made the right reads and showed surprising mobility. If Jason Campbell was still here the Bears lose by 30 with Campbell going 15/22 for 47 yards 0 TDs and 0 INTs.

But the Redskins defense is bottom 5 in the league.

He ran the ball when it was open and the offense played with a nice pace.

Don't forget the timely assistance of the idiot Brandon Meriwether.

Like I said BEFORE the 2nd half,Josh should stick to the middle of the field with his tosses. He did throw to the sidelines on screens. I don't like those plays even though they worked. . Pretty fast for an old guy and nice arm. It's a shame they lost.

He would have gotten a touchdown anyway.

The Cutler led offense was only on the field for 8 mins in the first half and had less than 50 yards

It's really hard to win games when your starting offense stays on the field for only 8 mins in the first half and your starting QB throws for more yards on a pick 6 than he has passing for the entire half. McCown managed to put up over 300 yards on this same defense in the 2nd half. #Facts

You're not actually putting that pick 6 on Cutler are you?

I say it's time to begin the Matt Blanchard era.

So far this season, the average QB rating for quarterbacks facing the Redskins' D is 103. Jacksonville's D leads/is the worst at 105.

This anti cutler agenda of yours is getting awfully close to "thanks, Obama" type levels. I especially hated how Cutler single handedly allowed the redskins to score over 35 points while giving up 499 yards to a 1-4 team with a gimpy QB. The worst was the gift TD he allowed on a poor redskins pass when he inexplicably fell down in coverage and left Tillman out to dry.

Thanks, Oba...Cutler!

Defense has injuries and age as a valid excuse. What is Cutler's?

28 passing yards
8.3 passer rating
Pick 6
2 first downs
Only 8 mins on the field in a half
3 completions
1 yeast infection

If the Bears go into rebuilding mode (which they kinda already are) and can draft a good college QB and fortify the defense through the draft and free agency, stick with McCown for next year while bringing the new QB along.

The Cutler experiment is "OVAH".

A total rebuild doesn't make sense right now with the good to great pieces they have at WE, TE, and RB. The Colts won for years with good offense and below average defense. Stay he course on offense, add pieces, and draft for D.

Good offense? They had Peyton Manning!

When you get a guy like him and Brady you can pretty much put anything around them. We're seeing that this season with Brady.

Yes, that should be "great offense," At the same time, the Saints, Ravens, and Packers are all recent examples of SB winners without highly ranked defenses. Of course all but the Ravens had great QBs leading the way, so...yeah. I don't know, If you can turn this offense into a top 5-7 unit (not unreasonable), you'll always be in the conversation so as long as your D is merely respectable, and not necessarily dominant.

Don't think they have the QB for this. Not sure how much better the offensive talent can get. Forte and Marshall aren't getting younger.

The Pats are not impressive at all, despite the good record. They've got a good defense so year (5th overall in points given up), but they struggle to score points. If Amendola returns, I can see things opening up for Brady, but I don't see them getting past Denver or Indy in the playoffs with that offense.

I think Forte's decline will come sooner than Marshall's, just given the nature of the RB spot. I say he's got two good years left. You can get better by adding more pieces, such upgrading Earl Bennett and/or adding another serviceable TE.
