Bears O should be able to move the ball against this NO D. Should be interesting to see how the Bears D tries to stop this mulit-dimensional NO O. I have already gotten into a mini-argument with a Packer fan that I work with. He's saying that the Bears have a huge edge because this game will be played on grass and the Saints are built for turf. Both teams will be playing on the same grass field Sunday, and last time I checked Seattle doesnt play on natural grass and they almost got that one yesterday. Obviously I disagree with his opinion. Right now I see a 23-20 Bears win.

What I'm hoping to see is a respect factor for this game, at least for the fans. There's no need to MF anybody on either side. I'm going to a Bears party as the one and only Saints fan (so when something good happens for the Saints I have to high five myself), and at this point, I'm just happy we made it to the NFC Championship for the first time in our existence. I think there may be a little more "we deserve this" feeling for Bears fans because your team has been the best in the NFC, arguably, pretty much throughout the year. But both of these teams, no one really believed in--not even the fans at times. The analysts kept picking the Cowboys or the Panthers or even the Giants--then the Eagles because they were the hot team.

Both of our teams proved everybody wrong and I couldn't be happier for this match up. I think both teams are evenly matched, and I hope for a good game. I think it will be.

Good night and good luck.

and...geaux saints...

Here are a couple of factors I am hoping will come into play: a dome team coming outdoor in january; while they are good NO recievers are not exceptionally fast (except for Henderson), Tillman should match up with Colston rather well; and, a speed team playing on a field whose middle looks like an extension of the prarie reserve on northerly island.

The Park District better not cut that grass this week.

Here are some bad factors: Joe Horn is probably going to be back to add yet another weapon; the swing passes to Reggie Bush this weekend had me breaking into an Ahman Green induced cold sweat.

Only a TEN point win, Nas? You're slipping. Better refresh your kool aid supply this week.

I'm hoping we see a repeat of the Falcons game last year where Micheal Vick could not wait to get off the field and put his coat back on.

Field goal. Maybe a safety?

i know bear weather really IS a big myth, but i just cant see a dome team that practices in a warm climate coming to chicago in mid january and winning, barring a major injury. i hope its 20 degrees and we get 3" of rain/snow-- some sort of precipitation-- on saturday nite.

i dont care what rank your D is, or how great or poorly you've played over the past month, you arent gonna stop the saints. but, the bears can slow them down. if the redskins can hold them to 10 points, and 3 other non-playoff teams whom the bears are better than (panthers, steelers, bengals) can beat them, so can the bears. there's a reason the bears are 13(14)-3 and the saints 10(11)-6

3 weeks ago, i would have said the bears would have a snowballs chance in hell in winning a shootout, but after yesterday that bears D worries me a little more than the offense.

if the front 4 can CONTAIN the run (not totally shut down, that'd be nice but all they need to do is keep duece and bush in check) and put somewhat consistent pressure on drew brees, bears win easy. if not, it could be a long afternoon for our bears.

message to chris harris and other DBs- tackle first, then strip.

all this said, i think the bears are gonna win this game. since the playoffs started, ive been calling for the Bears over the Colts in XLI, and im not changing my stance now.

gd - "35-31"

I have the exact same score....in the Saints favor.

I guess dolphin will let you know after the game who is who with that score.

To confuse you.

They figure they can get a a bigger audience by playing the games two hours later than when these games typically take place. It's more for the fact of that second game sneaking into primetime television where CBS can own Sunday with Colts Pats and 60 minutes. That's a clean sweep from 5:30 to 9:00.

I'm sure there are more reasons that factor in, but I don't know what they are.

2PM is 12pm on the west coast, better than 10AM, so the whole US gets to see the BearsSaints .
I hate that east coast ratings bias for the Pats.
Its the Bears against rest of the world. Go Bears!

They do this every year and alternate AFC/NFC being first/last. The championship games have begun at this hour for years. Last year, the NFC game with Seattle-Carolina was the 2nd game and went into prime time. It has nothing to do with the teams involved or east coast bias, but with networks alternating the prime time slot.

Rex's new attitude at the presser today would worry me because I'm paranoid like that. Watch now that he's sick of the criticism and points to the stats he goes on to have a horrible game. That or he realizes he can't go wrong with this Saints D

31-27 Beloved Saints... (And no, it has nothing to do with the hurricane, it has more to do with my true home, the LBs of the mid to late 80's--especially Rickey Jackson--good ol' #57, and a true disgust of the McCaskey family/Superfan image (though I came to learn that Boogie Benson is the world's greatest d@ck...))

I figure that neither team can stop the run; that each team is susceptible to the big play, but that my beloved Saints have at least one bigger play in them than the Bears...I hope.

Believe it or not I am a dyed in the wool Sox fan whose second favorite team is the Astros. It'll be happiness of sorts all around this Sunday, but unlike the great pumpkin Coatch, especially if Dem Saints prevail.

Whoever wins, Bears or Saints, I'm pulling for in the Super Bowl.
