Mel Tucker and Special Teams are the only things that will hold the Bears back.

Tucker sucks, but areal HC doesn't need fall guys because a real HC can run an entire team.

Marc is a glorified OC

No coach runs offense and defense. The key is to find the right guy to coach the other side of the ball.

You need a new prescription. Cutler has looked good tonight.

Why don't you send me a different type of hooch and maybe Jay will look good?

His numbers are ok, but the result is shit. They'll be lucky to win 8 games

Guy on another board I posted at some years back put it best: "Cutler is an average QB with elite talent"

Very apt description.

I'll send you a bottle of whatever you like if the Bears don't win 8 games with a healthy Cutler.

A head coach should be able to run an entire team, not talking about play calling necessarily, but accountability and competency in all phases of the team should not be too much to ask for.

Practice games don't matter. However...Mel Tucker & Joe D should be left in Seattle.

Missing 25% of your games cant be considered "healthy".

You're on. I'll take it easy on you, though, nothing older than 12 years. You probably remember my name, but not my address. I'll fill you in on the details.

lol

At least you're honest.

For the record, I actually like Cutler -best Bears QB I have ever watched play. But he isn't a 'great' QB, and he never will be.

The Seahawks' punter didn't get in the game until the 12 minute mark of the 4th Qtr.. I may have to adjust my prediction of 7-9.

Tillman & Briggs look really old & really slow (if that was mentioned in the 1st three pages, I apologi.)

Briggs and Tillman are smart enough to not go hard in a game that doesn't matter. I'm more worried about the other linebackers.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but they're both aging & coming off of injury plagued years. I just wonder what's left for either of them.

And neither of them seemed to be able to keep their eyes/head on the ball. That's not preservation, that's slow reactions.

Damn.

I have always admired Nas' perpetual optimism for the Bears.

I just refuse to let myself get excited about this team because they've broken my heart every time I did.

I just roll into the fall with the hopes they'll compete, but the last several years have shown they're not good enough.

I know it's preseason, but not being able to tackle and know your assignments can't be fixed in four games.

Bears 2014-15

Edit: Just looked at their schedule and I'm adjusting to 6-10

They suck. Defense will be bottom quarter of the league. Offense will be middle of the pack.

The Cutler thing is funny. Proponents of Cutler will always say "yeah, but he looked good tonight! Just a few dropped passes!" It reminds me of the W/L baseball debate. Look, Cutler can have great numbers and move the ball well and all that, but at the end of the day, there's always something that plagues him that doesn't seem to effect elite QBs. The first possession last night, some claimed that Jeffery dropped the long pass Jay threw to him. While true, that ALWAYS seems to happen to Cutler more than others. He always just happens to be the victim of bad luck for whatever reason. The truth is he's just not a great QB and never will be. The Bears had zero points at half last night. I don't need to know the circumstances. Our QB ain't that good.

With the stone soup defense no longer valid, the bad luck defense is the only refuge.

Only a fool makes regular season predictions based on a teams preseason record and performance. Get off the bridge guys. Everything will be ok.

No one said anything about record. The individual performances are absolutely fair to judge.

I only watched the second touchdown series.

I thought the exact same thing. Russell Wilson doesn't score on that scramble 2 years ago.

I've heard numerous hosts on the Score give us all of the issues they've discovered since training camp opened, and one (Boers) went from having the Bears 12-4 to now wondering if they can be 8-8. Holmes listed 10 different issues without much positives a few days ago. I think some of these supposed experts are taking a whole lot (usually the negatives) out of pre-season football to draw conclusions on how the season ago, and forget that they are the ones telling fans that they are idiots for doing that.
