He didn't hit the QB low. Both announcers said the same thing.

Well if Ronde Barber says so.

He has been wrong about everything today.

I think he was right about the Tate TD.

Ball game.

yeah that was a dumbass play on mcphee, but then again for all we know they hit it on 4th down and win the game cuz it's not like stafford to megatron is something that doesnt work 75-90%+ of the time anyways.

i just lament this fucking run run pass shit when it's obvious that jay should be winging it but fox so fears the INT we're playing into conversions....

yep, and there's the game. fucking hell.

chin up dude, you just won the game barring the most lions situation ever. just go kick the FG here cuz every play you run is that much more of a chance to blow the game.

What a joke.

Bears did not take this game when the Lions wanted to give it to them.

Way to conservative.

John Fox was responsible for that loss. Scorehead, what's up with your boy?

Have to score TD's at some point. The FG's are reminding me of the Bears of the past.

Yes for draft pick rankings but if so, why not trade Forte or anyone else of value not under a team friendly contract?

Yes. Martin Mayhew took over in 2008, after the disaster that was Matt Millen.

I agree. This is his second head coaching hire. I assume he will get at least three. The Ford Family has Reinsdorf-like loyalty.

I didn't watch the Colts as closely as I watch the Lions. I had no idea he was such an idiot.

GODDAMN SHITFUCK ASDL;KFGHSADL;JGH;KASFULDHVBGKLASDFUHGVBAKLSFHVALKJ;SDVKSHADB;KJF

ok im getting it out of my system, but yeah caldwell is fucking horrible. the lions are back to being a poorly coached / undisciplined team, and basically they went out and had their super bowl today (plus the refs kinda helped them out bigtime) and ultimately while i see what fox was doing in terms of not going for 2 when you had a chance to tie it there, man, you can tell he's still afraid of cutthead because in OT it was run run pass..... and he wasnt letting jay anywhere near letting jay pass/scramble on 3rd and 4 when a first down would have iced the game.... man they shoulda went for it there cuz while i confess that hindsight is 20/20, the key was converting a 3rd and 4th to win the game, but instead you played to go out nad try to not lose the game, and in the end even tho you showed some resolve to not lose it in regulation, still, when you had a chance to make a positive play to convert a 3rd and 4 you clammed up and gave them a chance to win it cuz worst case scenario you leave them anotgher 20-30+s secs on an interception, but in the end you needed all but 4 seconds.

so yeah i can blame cutler on that INT in the endzone..... but still even with that i think he still played a good enough game to beat this sad sack team, but in the end when fox gets into his "cutler aint gonna beat us" bunker man oh man.... forte has NEVER been a short yardage specialist and after that 5 yard run on first down, man, do a PA and go deep and get a new set of downs that fucks em up, if not a TD on streaking 1-on-1 coverage.... fucking hell.

For as good as Gase's play calling was on the GL with three receiver-set run call, he cost us on the second to last possession before the end of regulation running the ball predictably up the gut with Forte three times, ending in a quick punt. All we needed was a first down there to win, and throwing to Martellus or Alshon one down would have done it, when Detroit had trouble with our controlled passing game all-day.

I don't want to nit-pick, but passing on that possession once would have been the difference in the game. Had we gotten the first down there, could have run out the clock to win.

+1000

I also thought this was the play sequence that cost the Bears the game.

It's really something that Zimmer is probably the best coach in the North not because of anything he's done himself but instead because of the consistent idiocy Fox, McCarthy and Caldwell have displayed over the years.

but my nitpicking/unpopularity aside, man, i think i'm starting to see some of the things that people would knock fox for.... granted this IS jay cutler who has a propensity to think he can make any ill-advised throw and thus lead to killer INTs (see: today in the endzone), still man.... when you've got a chance to step up and WIN the game by converting a 3rd and 4, i think you gotta try to do that as opposed to making sure you have a chance to punt it to them so they gotta at least get all those punting yards back on the first passing play after they get the ball =D

also what the fuck was fox doing letting 10-20secs tick off of the clock when detroit had goal-to-go with appx 1min left? we had to have a player fake an injury to get a timeout called, which was heads up on their part (even if they likely catch some shit for it) cuz even tho we were able to get it to OT, still man, why the fuck would you let the clock wind down when time wasn't the #1 thing that could have won the game for the bears?

oh well... just gotta tell myself that not losing > winning. that's what it's all about.... i mean how does that one song go? HEY CHICAGO WHADDYA SAY THE BEARS ARE NOT GOING TO LOSE TODAY!!!!! GO BEARS GO * CLAP CLAP * GO BEARS AGO!

i think the knock on fox was that Mon-Sat he's one of the best coaches in the league but then his Sunday/gameday coaching leaves something to be desired.... and IMHO we're starting to see some of that nowadays.

the bears are clearly a much better coached team who is better at playing football than they were under trestman, however some of these in-game decisions leave you sitting there like WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!

I got bears under 7 for the season and I had bears +3.5 today.
I like it
