If 2 Years of draft doesnt produce a 3 down player, I am ALL IN on this!

We can assume the last two picks won't even make the team, correct?

Mike Mayock "loves what the Bears have done".

A draft full of doubles - not trying for the home runs.

I've said for a while now that Emery will be seen as a genius or he will set the Bears franchise back a decade.

I think they've had a pretty good day today.

I hate to say, but I thought Emery had a terrific 3rd day. The problem is......it was the 3rd day.

But seriously, aside from future HOF'er Charles Johnson (WR Packers) I almost like Emery's picks better than Ted's picks. Then again, I have been drinking. Heavily.

KS...Charles Johnson may be the biggest Johnson at WR in the NFC North sooner than later.

Todd McShay said the Bears had the worst draft in the NFL.

The guy from Our Lads gives the Bears a B-/C+ for the draft and labelled almost all of their picks "reaches."

Anyone else have draft grades?

good dolphin gives it a B-.

Sure Long is a reach but I don't think he is a stiff. I would make sure he has a support system in place here immediately.

Both LB will eventually start for this team and Greene gives you insulation when Briggs puts a power play on to get extended.

Some people seem to be high on the guy from Georgia. We will see.

I really am high on the WR from WSU.

It isn't a horrible draft, just underwhelming.

Zach Zaidman said yesterday that Brandon Hardin wouldn't have made the team last year if he had been healthy for the final cutdown. He seems to think that McClellin and Jeffrey will be the sole picks from Emery's first draft to make the team this year. Meanwhile, it is now being reported that McClellin is suffering from plantar fasciitis.

Getting blocked play after play is not a unique talent.

Blame Michael Vick for the long contract. Because he went to jail while Emery was in Atlanta he had to give Jay a lifetime contract.

Emery still believe the Long pick was the right move. That's very troubling.

Long was a good pick

He passed up many players at premium positions. If Long goes to tackle then yes you're right. But if he sticks at guard and continues his Pro-Bowl performance I don't care. I'll take the above-average but non-pro bowl corner, d-tackle or linebacker.

Eeeeh, linebacker might be a stretch.

I'm all for trolling Bear fans, but I don't think it works here. Unless it's a kicker or punter, a pro bowl pick in the first round is a good pick. And the Bears needed OL help. You have to really try to find fault with the Long pick.

Not trolling at all. Emery hired a "guru" in Kromer who has a track record of developing mid-round picks into servicable and Pro-Bowl offensive linemen. Why then use a 1st rounder? Especially when you had players like Xavier Rhodes, Tyler Eifert, Shariff Floyd, Desmond Trufant, Alec Ogletree on the board. Stupidity.

At least they finally made the correct decision to move Shea to outside LB.

Long was as good or better than every one of those guys this year.

Judging after 1 year is crazy. Also having 2 TEs run around the field might help Cutler realize the position exists.

I've stayed consistent on the stupidity of the Long pick since it was announced by Goodell. It's more of a criticism of Emery's drafting philosphy than anything else. He's an idiot.
