Fields sucks. Flat out can’t play the position.

This game made me open to the idea you keep him on next year to alleviate the pressure on Williams. Everybody knows he’s limited and won’t accomplish anything, so the cult won’t inhibit a rookie’s development.

Bears Super Bowl 2025.

For all the talk of what a terrible game Fields had today, he seems like he picks up a lot of conversions on plays that already should have ended long before he runs for a big gain or gets a throw off. It doesn't seem to amount to as much as you'd think it would but there's something there.

There might be something there but it’s not extension worthy.

I agree, but I think he'll be an intriguing project player for a lot of 6/7-win teams this offseason.

He can't attack the middle of the Field or make quick reads.

You can't see the Falcons or Titans taking a chance on him?

Breaking tackles doesn't make a franchise quarterback.

Is Fields better than Levis or Ridder?

Falcons a possibility, esp if they dump Fedex guy and hire the Eagles OC.

Not sure what Fields buys the Titans vs Levis other than Fields entering year 4 of his rookie deal and Levis only entering his 2nd year next season.

I pray the Falcons will. I don't think the Titans will.

Someone will give up a second or third-round pick for him, but his shortcomings are pretty obvious. He can't play within a rhythm/timing offense, which negates much of what most offensive coordinators want to do.

Nah. The fields cult demands a scalp and you can’t placate these people.

Probably better than Ridder.

If we’re doing KC parallels, I think Fields plays Alex Smith to Williams’ Mahomes.

I go the other way: let's see what we have in Getsy once fields is finally out. I imagine employing a QB who prefers to not throw the ball to open receivers restricts what the coordinator can scheme up. I mean, hitting the open man is sort of the point of the forward pass. Fields appears to be trying to challenge that assumption.

That's what the running qb's do though. But they also first try to hit a timing play. With fields, he never sees the first read as open.

My standard has been w/l. He lost as has been his history. His stats sucked. I’ll say this- he will never win a Super Bowl as a starting QB. Trade him and draft someone who could.

Even w/l tho is flawed bc they could have easily easily won this game and the w would have gone on his record. But he didn't do anything, it was all defense. It's like the run support argument in baseball. Fields performance today was like a pitcher giving up 10.runs.but getting the w because the offense scored 11. He just isn't a transcendent QB despite transcendent speed. That's been the case arguably since last year and definitely since week 2 or whatever it was this year.

Flacco had 212 yards passing...in the 4th quarter alone.
