The Caleb Williams era begins...kind of.

I'll save that post for his first start.

This board may not be around for as long as Caleb is our starting qb. I could die before he finally hands over the reigns to our second consecutive HOF qb.

This team is going to be lead by the defense...and I have no problem with that

DeAndre Hopkins is faking a knee injury so he won't have to play the Bears.

even at his best, you cannot give him anything more than 1-2 deals his entire career. If that means you lose him, so be it, no matter how good he may become.

Any word on when that suburban kid is coming back? We now needs some guards.

Wright has also been out for a week after getting dominated by Sweat the entire camp. Braxton Jones has been the only regular after missing the first couple of practices. Prince Kiran is still on the injury list.

I'm beginning to wonder about Wright. He's a very good run blocker, but he struggles with pass blocking. I liked the Wright selection when it was made, but I also pointed out that a similar player, Broderick Jones, would have been available later in the draft. Jones went to the Steelers, had a very nice rookie season, and seems to be emerging as a very good player with major potential to continue improving. It will be interesting to compare the development of these two players over the course of this season. Poles has put together a very curious collection of players at offensive line. As a whole, the group is stronger than it has been in several years, but it's still not close to an elite unit

Wright has shown that he's tough and nasty. Both of those things are positives. We were told that his struggles were technique related, but they don't appear to be clearing up. He may be a candidate to move inside if Kiran becomes something.

The offensive line is definitely better. People seem to love Wright, but I don't see a special player in the unit. Hopefully, that will change. I'll still take good over the shit that we had.

From what I have observed, Wright is slow to move his feet AND moves his feet slowly against quicker pass rushers. Both issues can be addressed. Hopefully, Wright will improve in these areas.

Bears are so good, they are playing on a slip and slide. They don’t even need to practice.

My guy says that's why important players don't play in the HoF game.

Davis is like that guy that I used to work with in a factory several years ago. He always had an issue. Always had a reason why he could not do his normal job. He would want to wander around while the rest of us did our jobs. They are a waste of space. Just cut his ass already and move on. You can see the look on his face in that picture. He has no desire to do anything.

I dont see how there is any room for him in the RB room. Who are you leaving off the roster for him?

I don't think they are ending his tenure as a receiver and converting him to a running back. Rather, they are exploring whether or not he could be a "hybrid" receiver AND running back. This actually seems like a very logical way to use Jones and makes me wonder why no one has thought of it before.

Square peg in a round hole.
Velus may be a great athlete, but a football player he is not.

I thought he ran a couple of toss sweeps when Getsy was here.

I think they are trying to move beyond that, but we shall see.

I sure hope that he doesn't run too much between the tackles.

Caleb struggled to push the ball downfield today. It sounds like he's been struggling a lot more lately since the pads have been put on. I'm not sure if it's the uncertainty of the offensive line or just some rookie struggles.

They were missing 4 or 5 guys today.

It's no reason for concern. It's part of the process.

I think he threw 3 touchdowns in the last game of the year.
