I know the Bears' front 7 has no talent, but why are you guys leaning defense over offense?
I'm assuming they are sticking with Fields
I don't see an olineman worthy of a top 5 pick.
Definitely no running back worthy of a top 5 pick.
Leaning towards no WR worthy of a top 5 pick but the kid out of TCU is nice.
Why can't Marvin Harrison Jr be eligible for this draft? Then it would be a slam dunk.
There are some viable options in FA to significantly upgrade your C, OG and RT positions, this would significantly upgrade your offense almost immediately.
You can find a solid DT or DE in FA, but teams do not usually give up on top DT's or DE's, if you want playmakers on the defensive line you have to take shots at them early in the first round. You can also find significant upgrades at LB in the second and maybe even third round, but then again, your defensive roster is so bad that you might find upgrades that can start day one in the middle rounds.
Not having to draft a QB opens up a ton of options for a team holding a pick near the top of the first round to fleece QB desperate teams and pick up numerous picks for just moving down a few slots, have thought all along that this was the smartest move for this team.
