I always get my guy. I can't believe no one else beat me to him.

If this kid shacks up at Warren's house I am not going to be surprised.

Yep and maybe Right Tackle.

He’s better than Wright?

Nah, he will be a guard and maybe someone who could fill in at like a swing tackle role if needed.

Do you think all of your linemen are going to remain healthy all year? The answer is hell no, it is about creating depth across your line and not just the 5 guys starting.

No I get that, I just thought the goal was to get starters in the second round.

If this kid can’t start somewhere on this Bears OL by mid season that’s a problem.

Fuck, I am arguing with people that don’t know what damn round we are drafting in. No one wonder Pitt Mike gets hammered drunk on a Friday night around here.

Second round, second day…a touch of grace, friend.

The point remains that I don’t know that I love a pick that may be a backup if last year’s guy gets injured.

People have complained for the last few years that the Bears have not done enough to build their OL in the draft. No way am I going to complain about them adding someone to the line to help protect their new QB. You can never have enough lineman.

He played a year at Right Guard. I would think he will compete with Davis for the RG starting spot.

When you have hardly any picks left in the draft it seems like a pretty high risk move to take a guy who has played against NFL caliber competition for 1 week of his life. I know that every pick is a projection but you are really projecting when he comes from Yale. However, Tampa took that kid from D3 and he was a fucking stud until he retired within the last few years.

Blow me. No Yale tackle is anything.

I believe you are not correct with this one, he was really good in one on one’s.

His game tapes are absolutely hilarious. He's like a foot taller and 125 pounds heavier than everyone else on the field.

I watched him at the Senior Bowl, I did not watch Yale football.

No, I agree. Every draft a team should take an OL guy in the first three rounds. Just would prefer a guy from, for example, the Missouri Tigers, most days. Hope this guy is a 5+ year starter though.

Outside of center, the Bears o-line wasn't bad. He'll spend this year developing to replace Davis or Jenkins. Who did you want them to draft with the 75th pick?

I have a big school bias. I know nothing about the guy and bored feedback was that he could potentially be a backup tackle some day. That said, I like the cut of his jib:

You can see how good his feet is and that he's an athlete. I didn't see the Senior Bowl or enough "highlights" to judge him. That said, you can't teach 37 inch arms or athleticism. I'm okay with Morgan and Poles wanting him.

I didn't/don't want the Bears to draft a defender, but Trice was a DE I liked a lot. Atlanta took him with the 74th pick.

It sounds like Poles was going to draft Bralen Trice in the 3rd round, but the Falcons beat him to it. He did say Amegadjie was the top player left on his board.

Speaking about not having any depth, our special teams sucked big time last year and despite all of the optimism about how great this offense is supposed to be, I'd think that replacing the piece of shit punter that we have and suggest that they should
draft Tony Taylor, the thunder foot Aussie punter out of Iowa

Not for nothing the Bears were bottom 25% of the league in sacks allowed. Yeah I know Fields and all, but still they weren’t all fields fault. Also I’d say as constructed now this OL doesn’t have one standout top 10% type player at any of the five positions. Nobody on the OL is a week in week out dominator of whoever lines up across from him.

The Bears are telegraphing that they are throwing the ball 35+ times a game, gotta keep Williams healthy. Would have been nice to draft one of those 6’8” monsters in the first round.
