You are correct, and if I remember, Dan, Peyton Manning did NOT take a single snap for the Colts in the preseason a year ago. Plus, it definitely help that Matt Forte had a long TD run in the Bears' unlikely road win last year at Lucas Oil Stadium on Opening Night. Recent history doesn't look too good though.
Recent Bears' Results-Opening Day
2005 at Baltimore L
2006 at Washington L
2007 at San Diego L
2008 at Indianapolis W

Thanks for the research. I'm grasping at straws to be optimistic about this game especially since I'm heading up to Lambeau for it.

Yeah, thanks for the research. But my recent history looks a little different than your recent history.
2005 vs. Redskins L (the last time the Bears opened vs. Baltimore was 2001)
2006 vs. Packers W (you forgot they started their NFC title season with 7 straight wins?)
2007 vs. Chargers L
2008 vs. Colts W

Yes shark schedule magnets are your friend.

The Bears didn't play the Redskins in 2006. Their opening game was a shutout win in Green Bay. bite

Bros, this will totes be an awesome game, and the Bears will win for reals. Like, it won't even be a contest. They'll dominate the Packers like i dominated bar louie last night, broheims.
