Hell, I don't know if they're good. I'm just saying fans of the Bear should be happy with the record.

Throw in the fact that the Bears opponents are 5-14 on the season and it isn't hard to figure out that this record is a mirage and the Bears are frauds.

6-10 is still a possibility.

Are you called shakes because someone did it to you too hard as a baby?

They will have no less than 6 wins after the first 8 games.

I don't know if the Bears are as good as their 4-1 record appears to indicate...This NFL season is beyond confusing!

By the way, SHARK has learned who will call Sunday's Bears' home game vs. the Seahawks at Soldier Field.

With Joe Buck on NLCS duty starting Saturday, Thom Brennaman pinch hits for Joe alongside Troy Aikman when the Cowboys face the Vikings in Minnesota. The506.com reports that Chris Myers & Brian Billick have been commissioned to call Sunday's game on the Lakefront. If Chris confuses Brian with his "Hollywood Hotel" co-host Jeff Hammond from FOX Sports' NASCAR coverage, it's understandable...

I still think BD, Beardown, and SHARK are all the same person. I don't care what proof anyone else has of the contrary.

That being the case, anyone who is interested can read the thread and see how it played out, see exactly what everyone said, and decide for themselves what the intent was and who looks stupid. Instead you created a signature with my responses to several different and unrelated posts. As you can see, I can do the same thing.

Let's look at your cut and paste job, shall we?

I'm not speculating about anything ... (This refers to the financial condition of Facebook. I wasn't speculating and am not speculating. I said multiple times in the thread that I had no idea. It's you, Ugie, Rick, and Don Tiny who are convinced of Facebook's great profits.) Besides that, I don't think the amount is significant ... (This was an answer to one of several people who seemed to believe that allowing Paypal to handle $100 is okay but using their services for $4000 makes one a douchebag or that ebay fucking someone out of ten dollars is no big deal.) I think some of you must own stock in Paypal ...(This was simply a commentary on the vociferous defenses of a company that is, at the very least, questionable from an ethical standpoint.) Maybe they are profitable ...(Finally, this was me admitting that, once again, I had no clue as to the financial condition of said enterprise)

So, as you can see, the quotes are totally unrelated. So how about we grab a Shamrock shake and toast some terrorists?

Holy hell, you put WAY too much effort into this with all those colours.

What's funny about that is that I'm only responding to people firing shots at me. Now here you are, apparently stalking me. I think bigfan has instituted some rules against that.

So, what's the prognosis on Cutler? Returning this week? Will there be two-step, three-step routes? Will the o-line be sufficient? Because the win-loss is obviously a house of cards.

i think the bears are taking advantage of a bad NFC, and that's good for them. may as well. this is a very flukey NFL this year.

their defense keeps even todd collins in the W column.

The tough part of the season starts in Week 9. This is the time they must build a little bit of a lead.

The NFC was "bad" in 2006 as well. Bears had the #1 seed, Saints had the #2 seed with a 10-6 record.

We might see that again. I wonder if we might see a couple of 9-7 teams with a home game as well.

The more I think about this game, the more I'm convinced that they will probably lose.

I think it's remarkable that a team can win 4 of their first 5 games with such glaring weaknesses, even if 2 wins were against horrible teams. But, they still haven't proven that they can run the ball (running on Carolina doesn't count) and they could really protect Collins last week either on the few times that they threw the ball.

Seattle seems to have a good run D and I see no reason to believe that the Bears can pass protect against an even average defensive line. So, if the Bears need to throw this week to win, I see it going badly.

I guess if you look at the NFC this year and review the aspects of your team -

Run Defense - Excellent
Pass Defense - Average to Below Average
Run Offense - Below Average
Pass Offense - Below Average
Special Teams - Excellent

- being able to do 2 things well, despite being quite horrid in the others, makes you an above average team in the Conference.

I'm just going to hold out for another week or two before I believe it though.

I'd say 2000 Ravens and 1963 Bears is a better comparison. The '85 Bears had a really good offense.

I meant in a defense vs. defense kind of way.

I'm sure they still don't think much of Illinois and could be looking ahead to road games at NU and Iowa.

I believe this proved to be correct as evidenced by Illinois' 6-3 halftime lead. Illinois' offense just wasn't good enough to capitalize on it and MSU eventually woke up and made Illinois pay.

Besides, who are you crappin'? You're the one, all year, that's been after me for being too pessimistic about Lovie and the Bears. Don't tell me that what I've written about the Bears this year hasn't been spot-on. I'm not saying it's groundbreaking analysis - just that I've yet to start drinking the Kool-Aid and now the evidence is starting to mount in my favor.

As for the Bears pick, I was pandering to the masses.

No actually I have been on you regarding the fact that you see your 2 football teams so differently. No matter what happens with the Bears you are pessimistic. No matter what happens with the Illini you are optimistic. That is what I have been continually pointing out. I have just never understood why you do not hold the Illini to the same standard that you do the Bears.
