Cutler is the most important guy on the team. They will go as far as he takes them. Hester and Davis playing like shit just isn't as important as Cutler playing below average. I was extremely high on Cutler and this offense this season primarily because Cutler had everything he wanted. I thought he was Pro Bowl bound. This may be his worst season as a Bear. That's extremely disappointing to me. It because equally annoying when I read and hear all the excuses for him. He has to 5 talent but he's playing like a bottom 10 QB.

Cutler is more important, yet you can still make a case if Davis plays well yesterday the Bears win. There may be a playoff game down the line where the same thing could happen. You can complain that more than one person sucks, it's not mutually exclusive. The "expectations" of Davis is he catch a ball that hits him in the hands and not fumble. Those aren't high standards to meet.

Why stop at one mental ex-U TE, bring Shockey in too.

I agree Cutler is the most important guy on the team. He has not played well for the most part all season.

That said he is not alone in playing poorly. You say guys like Hester playing like shit "isn't important", well I think when Hester catches a pass on 3rd & 1 and dances around so he loses a yard and the Bears have to punt, thats pretty goddam important. Brandon Marshall dropping a TD pass is important. Kellen Davis not being able to hold onto the ball every time is pretty important. A holding penalty by Carimi negating a first down catch is important. What if Hester does that shit in the NFC championship game in a key situation?

The QB playing well is vital as well, but you can see there are a lot of other issues other than Cutler. You and others seem to want to make Cutler out to be the scapegoat for everything that is wrong with the Bears offense. He is part of the problem, but he is not the only problem.

+1

Matt Forte ran for 38 yards on 2.3 yards a carry, if he is a top 5 back, then he needs to show up too, no get arm tackled so often.

Davis has hurt this team far more than Cutler has, and Cutler touches the ball every offensive play sans punts. Every game Davis does something terrible that really hurts the Bears.
Who cares? We are 7-2! Davis is fine.

Davis should be cut today. Bears should bring in Kellen Winslow Jr. for a tryout.

Been saying this for months, Davis is probably the worst TE in the nfl..every team has a better end than this turd some teams have 2 better ends.
