He feels like a modern Vince Evans.

One would have thought they'd run more play action pass plays with Montgomery running so well. I can't think of but a few. Pretty conservative approach.

That's what I was thinking after that opening drive, then nada...

Hindsight being 20/20, this was a Pace/Nagy pick...what evaluations in talent in their career up to that point would convince us this pick would be any different?

MANY thought it was a great trade and pick.

As I said last year, he looks like he's good. So much so that MANY give him a pass. The results are AWFUL.

Jimmy G is a free agent next year. Maybe the Ravens will want to trade Lamar Jackson. Justin Fields can't be given the starting job next year.

Ironically, Justin Fields starting this year will help the Bears position better for a replacement.

I didn’t see him miss an open receiver.

They gave the guy nothing and now we wonder why he doesn’t look better. The pack wr suck but even a guy like Sammy Watkins would be as any bear. Darnell Mooney is getting exposed being matched against other teams top corners for the first time in his career

Game manager? Right now he looks like a future night manager at a 7-11.

Keep the faith. I don't see an NFL quarterback. His deep balls are pretty. Even when he throws them to no one.

You haven't missed much. The world could use Doug Buffone on a night like this one.

Hamp has truly awful thoughts and hates every offensive coordinator ever. OB has far more cogent thoughts but he doesn't have Doug to set his thoughts up better.

Doug would have crucified the defensive front 7 by now.

The Vikings gave the Bears a template to beat the Packers even without Justin Jefferson. Getsy refused to open up the passing game. They must not trust the Oline, WRs group, Fields or some combination there of. We've been told for months that deep ball accuracy is one of Fields strengths and yet they aren't giving him a chance to throw them. We've heard for months as well how Fields and Mooney have 'chemistry'. Tonight, 2 targets and 1 catch for -4 yards receiving for Mooney.

Fields holds onto the ball like he's in college, playing with players far superior to his opponents.

Mooney is getting exposed and I don't think Getsy trusts Fields or the offensive line.

I knew Jonathan Quinn sucked the first time I saw him take a snap. He looked like a college quarterback that should be in sales. Fields doesn't look like he sucks, but he plays like Jonathan Quinn would have if he had speed.

The fans aren't hurting from the loss like the players. The players are putting in the work and the fans are only watching.

I think Quinn might be the worst we've seen in the 2000s. But I actually agree with your last sentence - it's quite alarming.

I know the announcers kept wanting the Bears to run the ball last night, and they were having success with it in the second half. But I was thinking, how we will ever know if Fields is the guy if we do not throw deeper routes?

I agree with Nas that he holds the ball and looks indecisive. We need to know by the end of this year if he is the guy. But of course its hard to judge with shitty receivers and a subpar offensive line.

Luke Getsy is telling us that Fields isn't the guy.

So again....this is a 6 win team if enough things go the Bears way. The roster is garbage.

I have not seen anything resembling an NFL quarterback from Fields. He looks worse than Mitch at this point.

That being said, I'm not seeing a whole lot from the Packers that would indicate they're winning the division.

6 wins? I thought they could go winless this season. 3-4 max for me.

Mitch is better at this point. That's hard for me to say as I have Mitch has the city's biggest bust ever and I've been saying that since maybe 2019.

The Lions look really interesting.

The Bears have the Texans, Giants and Commanders in 3 of their next 4 games. There should be a couple of winnable games in there.
