It’s just OK to admit you guys were wrong on Williams. You know if we can get to a point where saying out loud that he sucks becomes normalized in Bearsworld you might actually get to a point where you can hire a good coach who gets the authority to bench him and move on.

But again, he played very well against two teams that have lost a combined three games.

Also, I'll point out once again that Fields in his three year career had three wins against teams that finished with a winning record.

The Bears were down double digits in both of those games in the 4th Quarter

In the Vikings game alone they were down 11 with a minute and a half to go and depended on fluke plays in order to "get back into it".

Detroit also had about 7 starters out as well as a few reserves. And yet he still couldn't seem to "get going" until they were 2 scores down.

The Bears are on pace to win 1 more game than they won during a year in which they tanked. Ouch!

This goes back to the question if Williams has ever played a good game in the NFL.

Personally, I'll take a 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions over 2 games for the rest of his career and I'll be happy.

No one with a functioning brain would ever take stats accumulated in games which the other team believed to be over very seriously. That's why there are always guys like you around who will happily do so.
