Which is why I think anybody who says that Matt Nagy is a great leader, has no fucking clue what a great leader is

Hopefully he said something different in the locker room, because publicly not backing his players isn’t a good look. If he wanted to say that after the Edwards Jr. ones a few weeks ago, maybe that’s okay, but not last night.

He looked like death was imminent. I also thought he was trying not to get fined or start making excuses for losses.

The bye week is a perfect time to move on from Nagy. They already have the infrastructure to cover the position after Tabor coached last week and Lazor called plays. There really is no reason other than money to keep him.

Fire Nagy and get your short list prepared to interview people, with that window opening after week 15 under the new rules. They should have at lest five initial interviews in those two weeks.

There is no reason a guy who coached through a 6 game losing streak last year and a 4+ one this year should be retained.

They will never fire a coach midseason.

As good dolphin pointed out, you pretty much have to fire a coach in season now if you plan to.

You guys are nuts. MANY of you wanted Fields to start and said nothing mattered more than the development of the quarterback. Now you all want to fire the coach for losing games even though the quarterback showing signs of development.

Completely agree, but it won't happen. We will be lucky to get rid of him at the end of the season.

Hard to fathom this team beat Cincy and Raiders. They could easily be 1-8 right now

Nagy is irrelevant to Fields' development.

He should have been fired before the draft if that is the case.

Of course he should have.

Everyone agrees.

Your philosophy would mean Nagy gets to stay forever.

Glad we finally got Nas in agreement that Nagy needs fired.

Doesn’t help as much unless Pace goes too.

Not exactly. I was driving the Fire Nagy train for years and MANY of you all were pointing the finger at (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Even during the off-season, MANY of you all and the media were still slurping Nagy until he decided to start Dalton over Fields. I've seen nothing that Nagy has done in the past 9 games that should get him fired. Especially considering that Fields was the quarterback he targeted.

Bears also had a 4 game skid in 2019.

We could easily be looking at an 8 gamer this season. Jackson is going to throw at Vildor all day long and pick apart the Bears secondary. Detroit will likely be 0-10, but that Thanksgiving game is going to be their Super Bowl and with the Lions head coach already using fake punts and other trick plays, there is no telling what will happen on a short week. Then its the Cards and Packers which is likely two more Ls unless Rodgers gets Covid again. It would not surprise me if this team doesn't win again until mid-late December.

The 3-6 record isn't exactly a strong piece of evidence.

3-8 if you go back week 17 and the "playoff" game last year.

The Bears will lose to Baltimore, but if they then lose to Detroit, it's all over for Nagy and Pace. It just has to be.

Starting Fields was essentially saying that you didn't care about wins. You can't have it both ways. The Bears would have more wins if Dalton was the starter.

The only game Dalton may have won that we lost would have been Cleveland but that was because Dalton was injured. Dalton wasn't winning any of the other games.

It would be so Bears for them to replace Ted Phillips with the one person on the planet who would do a worse job than Ted Phillips did.

I can see them saying that Sweaty Teddy needs to put all his focus on Arlington Heights...but to make Pace the co-President would just be an insult to fans.
