Agreed. Maybe he learned how to throw. It would be fun to watch.

Which of those 4 of 6 starts where he threw for under 200 yards finally sold you?

Caleb Williams had one of the worst yards per Attempt avg in the league yet according to you and Brick, "he can really throw"

My question was about Fields, I didn’t mention the other guy.

Honestly I hope Williams is as bad as you think he is, my comments are about Fields, period.

You've been pushing a "Pro Caleb" narrative in these discussions for about a year. Now it's about time that you own it. Your Packer Chubby doesn't negate this. You are in bed with the Caleb Apologists whenever it's about him and Justin Fields and have been from the beginning.

The Steelers will get a third or fourth round compensatory pick next year. They traded a sixth for Fields. Thanks Bears!

Does anyone here believe Sam Darnold gives your team a legitimate chance to win in the playoffs? I think Seattle is going to find themselves disappointed.

Teams have won the dance with worse than Sam Darnold. The Niners are really headed for a dark age, the Arizona thing is totally benign, McVay and the Rams are a constant threat but realistically the division is winnable.

If they can build a 2016 Denver or 2024 Philly-level defense they can make some serious noise with Darnold. Obviously easier said than done, but look where has Josh Allen really gotten the Bills? Just good enough to get beat by the Chiefs, even when the Chiefs were weak.

Brick wrote:

You have to go back to the stone ages to find a worse thrower of the football who started all his teams games than Caleb Williams in 2024. Historically bad, worst accuracy this century.

That is an awfully big "IF".

Caleb can throw 50 interceptions next year and I would be ecstatic. Again, I wasn’t talking about him, the other H1M.

Fields is in his fifth year playing with A-Rog's chosen OL.

Williams is in his second year playing with Poles' chosen OL.

Let's see who's better this season.

He won't answer your question without deflecting to Caleb Williams. He knows Fields sucks and is a bust. He's got nothing except, BUT, BUT CALEB....

You're the same dude that has proclaimed that Justin Fields is ""just a backup" with no market value. Only to continuously move the goalposts once one of your inane thoughts happens to get debunked. Like now.

The very same dude whom you repeatedly proclaimed to be 'just a backup" who just signed for very good bread to be someone's starter. Who also had other teams bidding on him to be their starter. But hey some guy named Juiced who says silly, inane things on the internet because well it's the internet is whom the world is supposed to trust

Jets upgraded to "worst starting quarterback in the division," up from "worst starting quarterback in the division who's also annoying."

He's already won by signing to be a starter after MANY claimed that he wouldn't be.

He was a backup last year and now he isn't a backup. He's got about 5 or 6 games to prove something or he'll be a backup again. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get benched. But I don't mind being wrong. I don't have stock that I'm shorting in Justin Fields. Also, there's no shame in being an NFL quarterback in the backup position. However, I think it would have suited him better to go to one of these offensive minded think tanks like Sam Darnold did. Competent QBs have a long shelf life. One year devoted to studying from the best minds and "getting it" can pay dividends.

I still believe that. The Jets aren’t sure he is a starter either.

I can believe that JFK was assassinated in Miami and not Dallas or that New England actually defeated the 85 Bears. It still doesn't make it true. The only way Fields isn't the Jets starter on Opening Day is if he is injured on Opening Day.

I believe he will be the starter on opening day, he signed a good 1 year contract. But if the Jets truly believed he was their long term answer at quarterback, why didn’t they sign him to a longer deal?

Nah he had a bigger market than MANY believed him to have. He's gambling on himself with this move and has a few weapons at his disposal. Jets still need a viable #2 receiver but he'll be fine there. Pittsburgh screwed up royally (much like the Bears the previous year) and their fans (much like our fans) are letting them have it because of it.

Smith and the majority of the players wanted the kid to be the starter and Tomlin shitted on him. Now he's up and they are scrambling

Look up how many different QBs started a game last year. I don't want to steal your money.
