Don't put yourself in a position to be pushed or blocked or even touch the punter in that situation. Raiders were giving the Bears the ball with just a few minutes left to play. A couple of first downs, and its a 21-17 final.

Just like Dix should not have had himself in a position to be offsides on an extra point in Denver. Thats just awful coaching. The Bears should have hardly been rushing the punter at that point. Send two guys in and if they can break thru cleanly, fine go after the ball. If not, turn heel and get downfield to block for one of the most explosive punt returners in the league.

Yeah, Schlereth. He was as biased an announcer in that game and talked about it as if he had the pads on for the Raiders. Continually talked about "WE" need to get the ball back after the Raiders lost the lead. And the love lust that he had for Gruden was amazing throughout the game.I always thought that this putz was someone who thought himself smarter than he was and just like to hear himself pontificate but after listening to him I will never again listen to the guy. It was a penalty. A flag was thrown.

The POINT was at that juncture of the game, you do not rush the punter. You do not block the punt. You are getting the ball back. Engage your guy at the line of scrimmage in hopes that Cohen can get a return. Eat 5 minutes of clock and win.

Instead, a dumbass runs into the kicker, gets flagged, and the Raiders march for a TD. And you defend that. I guess you don't care about spelling names correctly or looking like a complete shithead. I must say, you do quite well in both areas.

Yeah it was like four plays in and he was slobbing all over the Raiders knob. As a former in the trenches guy, "sherwith" likely appreciates watching that type of play regardless of what uniform the guys are wearing.

The entire broadcast had a Raider bias; when the camera wasn't showing the action it was showing Gruden.

He did, MANY times. He said this about the Bears too. It was always in this type of context though;

"If you're the Raiders, you have to say, 'this run game has been working, so we need to keep doing this.'"
"If you're Matt Nagy at halftime, you have to say, 'We have to get back to playing the way we did last week.'"

Hawk is just a dolt who hears and reads only what he wants hear and see.
