have not seen but maybe one or two plays of the Browns this year. I know they got a pretty good WR. What else do they got?

Jordan Cameron (TE) is a stud
Greg Little (WR) is a big body but drops too many balls
Davone Bess (WR) is an OK slot guy. Better days are behind him
Travis Benjamin (WR/RET) was a speed demon returner but tore his ACL
The o-line is OK. Their guards are weak.

The defense is their "thing" but it's not as good either as people make it out to be.
Joe Haden is top-5 corner
Buster Skrine is the other guy and he's going to get torched
Safeties are OK. TJ Ward is fine.
Barkevious Mingo is not the bust I thought he'd be with 5 sacks
Jabaal Sheard looked like a breakout pass rusher but he's had injury issues and pretty much a lost season.
Phil Taylor is a nice DT. He's a guy that would help the Bears big time.

I think Taylor is more than a nice DT and would love him to be a Bear.

The Browns are not dangerous on offense, especially in the run game but everyone has run on the Bears. Jennings covers Gordon and I'll take my chances with the rest of them.

It frightens me that this is a pickem game with the Bears coming off a dismantling of the Cowboys. I thought the Bears would be 3-4 point favorites. It looks to me like someone is trying to get you to take the Bears knowing the Browns will win.

I actually think the Browns deflating loss to the Patriots helps the Bears. They played their asses off in that game and deserved to win.

Now, with that unrewarded effort, I think they might quit with 3 games left in their shitty season.

They will certainly quit if the Bears can jump out to an early lead. If the Browns are close or leading in the 4th qtr, they will give it their all because they know the Pats are better than the Bears. They'll think, "If we almost beat them, we can certainly beat these guys"

The Texans seem to be the only NFL team that knows how to tank. The Browns aren't going to quit. If they were going to, they would have by now.

I think they'll rush for 150+ yards and I don't even know who their RB is currently.

I think Benny Cunningham switches teams every week to whoever is playing the Bears

To me, this is a game you win as long as you don't have turnovers, which means McCown would have been the perfect QB in this situation

It's pretty remarkable that the Packers still have life. A Lions/Bears loss with a Packers win this week means the Packers are in sole possession of 1st in the North.

Yeah. So they can't be the Cowboys this week in Dallas if they don't have Rodgers. So that should do it for the Pack.

It really has to be a loss this week for the Lions. The Giants are a dead ass team. The Vikings have shown some life but I just don't think they have the firepower to get it done.

I figured this one on my own. Media hasn't figured it out yet cuz I haven't heard anybody discuss it.

If the Cowboys win Sunday afternoon, the Sunday night game vs. the Bears is meaningless to the Eagles. Win or lose, the Eagles will still have to beat the Cowboys in the last game of the season to make the playoffs.

Cuz the Cowboys beat the Eagles in their first meeting. So the Eagles being tied or a game ahead of the Cowboys going into the final week is the same thing.

Which means if it means shit to the Eagles, they might pull guys in the 2nd half.

That's only if the Cowboys win, of course. If they lose vs the Redskins, Eagles can clinch the division vs. the Bears.

You're right. I look like the fool. I also thought a 23 point lead at home vs a backup QB would be safe. Who would have figured it?

Jerry Jones:

Incorrect. Difference between 3rd and 4th seed matters.

The Lions, like a lot of teams, are capable of losing to anyone. I really doubt they finish the season 3-0.

Sure, could matter if both the top seeds lose in the divisional round coming off their byes. Would mean you get home field advantage for the NFC title game if you're the 3 seed. Seahawks and the Saints both losing home games is unlikely. As the 3 seed, you'd have to beat the Saints or Carolina. Then the 4 seed would have to beat the Seahawks for you to get the title game at home. Not likely the Seahwawks would lose.

Risk vs. Reward: Better to go into the meaningful game vs the Cowboys healthy. Be interesting to see how the Philly coach handles it.

So it looks like the Bears are in if they go 2-0. But if they and the Pack win this week and then the Bears lose to the Pack next week, how would that go in terms of getting in? They would both have nine wins, with GB having one less loss and one tie.

If both teams end up with 9 wins, Green Bay would get in because their winning percentage would be better.

Bears in if they go 2-0. Doesn't matter what the Lions or Packers do if Bears win out

Lions need to finish at worst tied with Bears record wise.

Packers need to go 2-0 and need help. If the Packers lose Sunday, and the Bears win they are eliminated regardless of what the Lions do.

Believe it or not, any of those teams can get in if they go 1-1 as long as BOTH other teams in the division go 0-2.

If all three teams go 0-2, Bears win. If the Lions AND Packers lose on Sunday, Bears clinch if they win Sunday nite.

The Packers don't need help, unless you mean Jay Cutler losing to them.

Don't think so. Packers would win division if they go 2-0.

Not if the Bears go 2-0, so thus the Packers need help.
