Your logic is flawed, though.
Unless you think the offense only runs plays during the regular season that they've run in pre-season. Otherwise, they are running plays that "they haven't practiced".

Just take a knee every play. Don't want to give away anything in the play book.

Decline the ball. Save your knees.

Dumb.

Unless you (as a team) would rather NOT have the XP be from 30 for the rest of your life. They want to see how many teams elect to go for 2 from the longer distance.

There are teams clamoring to change the PAT distance?

No - the league is gonna try and force it to reduce unneeded head contact/injuries on XP, I assume.

They claim they want to make it more exciting, because nothing says excitement like a kick from the 15 yard line for one point.

Ah.

I vaguely recall thinking the whole thing sounded just country dumb, then I remember Olbermann doing an opening segment on it, and pretty much going 180 on the idea. So I realize my snap take on it is probably misguided.

I'm just annoyed by the completely useless premise of "let's try 'x' for two games with no plans to do anything more like it anytime soon, if ever".

Dumb.

Shit or get off the pot.

Yeah, I think the stats showed that moving the ball back that far reduced the success rate of the kicks by something like 6%

I don't see how they don't end up just letting the team opt for a "free point" without kicking it or to go for two where they have to run the play.

Mark Sanchez looking good. Chip Kelly is the true QB genius!

I'm starting to question the decisions of my life which lead me to watching the game at this point.

This is a scaled-down version of the shit people have been saying about Trestman for the last year-plus.
