Cutler haters will always find a reason to rip the guy and not give him credit for anything. If he doesn't throw an interception then his yards per attempt is too low. Now his receivers are great, so it isn't Jay. They must be reading defenses, making decisions and throwing the ball for Jay. He's got all day to throw because the offensive line is great, so it isn't Jay. His coach finally has an offensive system that could succeed in the NFL so it's not Jay. If not those excuses, there's always the imaginary INTs he threw.
He has been given plenty of credit for the past two games. He isn't playing like an MVP candidate. That is what people are reacting too.

If Nas simply said "Jay Cutler has been pretty good so far" then no one is responding.

Peyton Manning gets negatives pointed out too.

Not nearly as much. Nobody spends time breaking down the body language or facial expressions of Goober.

Goober is certainly the better, but Cutler is scrutinized way way way more than Manning ever has been.

 Google Manning Face.

Peyton has a lot less reasons for scrutiny. Peyton gets scrutinized for not winning enough Super Bowls.

The criticism of Cutler is a lot more fair than the criticism of Manning.

Manning and Cutler is an awful comparison.

But since you brought it up, do you think Manning is playing like an MVP this year?

He wouldn't be in my top 2 but he likely will be by the end of the year.

No its not. When was Manning yelling at a coach almost national news? Did dozens of stories get written about how Manning was knocked out of a game and didn't come back like Cuter in the NFL title game? The answer is no.

But you'd say he's in your MVP conversation, right? That's all Nas said about Cutler in the OP. I know your Cutler hate is blinding you, but a top ten quarterback on a playoff team is in the MVP conversation. That's not a leap.

There has been a lot written about the failures of Peyton. To argue otherwise is just silly. This is with him being the best quarterback of all time in terms of statistics.

I don't know what a week 3 playoff team is. I don't think a top ten quarterback is in the MVP conversation either. Peyton also has many stats where he is superior to Cutler and his team is 2-1 and just took the best team in recent memory to overtime.

I'm very confident in saying that Peyton Manning is much more valuable than Jay Cutler. You are picking a strange time to play the "Cutler hate" card.

I am not arguing that, and you are clearly missing the point. There has been a lot written about Cutler's failure too, and well deserved.

When has there been anything written about Manning's body language, facial expressions, him yelling at a coach/player, or him being legitimately injured and not returning to a game? Everything I just listed there has been a top sports story regarding Jay Cutler at some point in his Bears career.

There's no "Cutler hate" card. You just obviously hate him and will senselessly take any opportunity to attempt to discount anything that he does.
Obviously Peyton Manning has always been a better quarterback than Jay Cutler. I typically would find it odd that somebody would feel the need to point that out... but not that you do.

Well, I'm not sure that Peyton Manning has ever been knocked out of a game so it would be a pretty hard thing to write.

Plenty has been written and said about Manning. But, even moreso, there is a list of things that Peyton gets grief for that go far beyond "facial expressions" such as being a playoff choker and people saying his arm isn't very good any more.

This is the first thing I've said about Cutler all year and it was simply pointing out he isn't an MVP candidate while also saying he played well in the two games they won and was bad in the other. If you didn't know I was posting you'd be agreeing with me because it is true. Others are saying basically the same thing.

I'm sorry I don't think Cutler is playing at an MVP level. That means I hate him.

I simply brought up Manning to show that even an all time great quarterback like him gets negatives said about him. You for some reason decided to make it a Cutler vs. Manning thing. I'd call that a poor choice on your end.

No. I made no reference to Manning vs Cutler other than to say it was an awful comparison. I then asked simply if you thought Manning was playing like an MVP, to which you replied with a comparison to Cutler:

"Peyton also has many stats where he is superior to Cutler and his team is 2-1 and just took the best team in recent memory to overtime. I'm very confident in saying that Peyton Manning is much more valuable than Jay Cutler."

Thanks for playing.

No. That isn't how it went. You omitted what I was responding to with that statement.

I responded based on your comparison that Manning being in the MVP race means that Cutler is too.

Your Boilermaker Rick hate is blinding you to the point where you don't even remember what you wrote.

I like how the examples of Cutler being unfairly maligned have now turned into retroactive excuses.

"How do you expect him to be great!? He was picked on by the media in 2011!"

You have completely missed the point.

The point is that all quarterbacks, even all time greats, get criticism for various things. Tony Romo got criticsm for taking a trip to Mexico during an off week. Rex Grossman didn't look at pictures on the sidelines. Kyle Orton was too busy enjoying life to work hard. Colin Kaepernick gets ripped on for having tattoos. Johnny Football is called a spoiled rich kid who doesn't care about anything but having fun and hanging out with Drake. I could go on with even more examples.

Yes, some of the criticism of Cutler was unfair. That is just what happens. People have said things about Tom Brady and what he does off the field too.

Also, as has been pointed out with multiple reasons, people on the Bears, both current and former players and coaches, have all struggled to deal with Jay Cutler. Even this year, there are reports that the front office wasn't happy with some of the things he was saying to the media. It isn't just invented here by me and other "Cutler haters".

Even if you believe Cutler isn't in the MVP conversation you can't deny Cutler is having his best season as a Bear and he's been their best offensive player so far. #Progress

Even though I truly do hate Brandon Marshall, I think Marshall has been their best player this year.

I don't disagree. YOU were the one who said that the criticism of Manning was more fair than what Cutler gets. Its not, and I gave several examples of it.

They get different criticisms but I think that the criticism of Manning is more unfair.

However, Manning really hasn't given any way to criticize him for the things Cutler did. Manning is well known to not only just coach teammates up but basically he runs the whole offense. When he went to Denver, he brought his system and basically shaped it all in his image. To the best of my knowledge, he has never been knocked out of a game, and his only real injury has been a spine injury that was career threatening. He has whole internet meme's dedicated to his face and his brothers face. So that really leaves the "yell at teammates" thing. Yes, they both do that.

I can agree to the last part of this. Let's see how long he can keep it going tho. Consistency has never been a mark of the Cutler.

 He's getting plaudits for having his best season as a Bear for not even being as good of a game manager than McCown was.
