Basically, everything is fine.

I've been down this road before. I've been part of a lot of bad teams so this isn't anything new for me. If you want a group with a lot of experience being really, really bad, we've got the coaches here to address that.

This may end up as one for the worst hires ever for a Head Coach in the NFL and that is saying something.

Just wait until the next hire the Bears make is the coach of the New Zealand All Blacks.

So, it sounds like there were opportunities to make more plays than they did and they are going to look at it.

I gotta be fair. I give the guy grief but this was pretty good.

Trestman should end the press conferences by yelling "The Aristocrats!"

This.....this here is pretty damning;

http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/rodgers ... ocid=yahoo

Quote:
At different points of their 55-14 crushing of the Bears on Sunday night, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense sure seemed to have the Bears defense figured out, almost to the degree of knowing what the Bears were going to do.

In fact, they did. They could hear what the Bears were planning to do.

In the second quarter of Sunday night's 55-14 win at Lambeau Field, Rodgers exploited a blown coverage in the Bears defense and wound up hitting a wide-open Jordy Nelson for a 73-yard touchdown.

"It was a blown coverage. We could see that," Nelson said. "I might be wrong, but based off what we could hear them doing, Aaron checked to a different route and in that process, it sounded like they were checking to Cover-2.

"The way [Bears cornerback Tim Jennings] played it, he played Cover-2 and the safety still stayed 1-high."

I don't understand the "We called a run and Jay changed it to a pass" thing. You didn't call a run then.

If you want a run, then call a run and don't give an option to change to a pass.

It's not impossible to figure he knows he and everyone else is cooked, so gamble on keeping some measure of loyalty on the way out the door by standing by them all and maybe get a job as assistant assistant assistant QB whisperer with the Raiders or something in 2016.

No, I think this is it. If/When Trestman gets shitcanned here, I doubt he will work in the NFL again. The Bears look clueless on the field and there are multiple stories of him having lost at least part of the locker room.

I think there are going to be some great stories--from both sides--when he is inevitably launched.

He's not going to sacrifice one of his guys when he knows he's out the door at the end of the season. It's honorable.

He's setting a fine example of quitting.

Why fight for your job? Not worth it. Let's just go quietly.

Well, what are those guys that are dogging it doing for him to deserve that kind of loyalty?

Loyalty for loyalty's sake is no way to run a football team. He's like Lovie on loyalty steroids, then.

I don't think Tucker is dogging it. I believe he's just not good and injuries and personnel play a role in their play.

I'm talking about the players. Light somebody up.

We all see the games. Hold somebody accountable. Stop kumbaya-ing everybody into eating spiritual s'mores around the unity fire. Rip somebody.

I agree. He should have called some players out a long time ago. Even Lovie and Jauron called guys out. The players still loved and respected them.

I wonder if when Trestman talked about "complementary football", he was just talking about complimenting the other coach on how awesome their team is?

If George McCaskey was smart, he would have someone talk with Harbaugh immediatly. Yes I know that would be tampering, but tampering occurs all the time in sports and is nearly impossible to prove when done by a 3rd party.
The Bears are an organization full of Peter Principle guys. Too many people in a position one level above their level of competency.

The offense needs a better defense to practice against.
