That was the quote ("I'm in charge now") that Emery was referencing, but he didn't even use it the right way. Haig said he was in control when he really wasn't; Emery was trying to say something like he wasn't going to pull an Alexander Haig and discipline Kromer, when in fact, Emery is above Trestman.

The other problem with firing Trestman is - who will replace him? Why would Harbaugh or any other top tier candidate want to take on this mess? With a GM that might have a short shelf life as well. They'll get another year (with the replacement of the assistant coaches) and then there will be a house cleaning in 2016.

This shouldn't be the reason you won't fire a coach that clearly has no fucking idea what he's doing. There are real coaches out there that can coach an NFL team, the Bears front office just need to pull their heads from their rectums long enough to find one.

I thought the graphic of Cutler's numbers compared to the league averages was extremely telling. He is almost exactly on the average of every catergory except the turnovers. We have been desirous of him to be the elite quarterback, the team has wanted it, the organeyezashun has paid him to be, yet he is just average. He doesn't suck, he's just average. Average. Average (average). Can I say average again?
